I arrived for Parents weekend at WMU and checked in at 7:30 PM on Saturday. I was surprised that our room was not clean yet since check in time was 3:00 PM. But the person at the front desk explained that the cleaning person was cleaning all rooms by herself as another cleaning person had to leave early. He confirmed that my room was being cleaned at the time and said it would be about 20 minutes before we could get into the room. We waited in our car for the room to be cleaned and the guy at the front desk went over to help the cleaning person clean our room. The cleaning person looked exhausted but kept a smile on her face. I was very impressed that these employees were very hard working, helped each other and kept their professionalism and politeness even when they were obviously stressed.
I hope Red Roof Inn appreciates them!

This location was selected for convenience due to it being attached directly to Kellogg Arena where my son was participating in a wrestling tournament. Room was clean and comfortable and modern décor. Staff was friendly and courteous. Hotel restaurant had an excellent breakfast buffet (not continental breakfast) at a reasonable price. Parking was also convenient and reasonably priced. Only negative was the blinds were not wide enough to block all of the outside lights when going to sleep at night. I have stayed here before and would select it again particularly for events at the Kellogg Arena.

I have stayed here twice visiting my daughter at Kalamazoo College. Everything in the room is in newer condition, clean, and all the basics did not disappoint. The bed is very firm (too much so for me) but the sheets and pillows are delightful. Would've liked an extra blanket... nowhere to be found. Breakfast bar is a typical econo hotel spread, and also very clean and well-supplied.
This time, I stayed on the side next to the expressway. Very, very noisy. The other side is much better. Next time I will request the quieter side.
Very nice overall for $60 through Expedia.

From the first moment we arrived at about 1245am and checked in to our King suite, we were warmly greeted by the gurst services agent. We were lost and she came outside to the street corner to wave at US until we saw her. When I went to the room, I found to my surprise, not just a king bedded suite, but one that included a lovely hot tub. Very unexpected surprise. Th e young lady at the desk came to the room and explained the tub operations. All staff were amazing. I chatted with the owner at breakfast about her time in Battle Creek, and how much the town had changes and grown since I grew up here and moved away after college.
We were there to attend my sister's burial.
While at the breakfast, I received notice that my 90 yr old mom had fallen gravely I'll in Grand Rapids and would not be able to be at my sister's service. She was hospitalized that morning. I was told that it was vitally important that I go see her as soon as possible, that her health had diminished to a point that it was felt that if I didn't see her that trip, that I may not see her alive at another time.
I had a 3 night reservation, and upon receiving this news, was able to arrange with the owners to cancel my 3rd nights reservation with no penalty .
The entire staff was wonderful. The hotel was well above my expectations. When we are again in my hometown of Battle Creek, we will definitely be booking our stay at the Baymont Inn and Suites Downtown.

At the junction of the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Rivers, the city of Battle Creek is about 25 miles east of Kalamazoo. Local parks are linked to the rivers with a 20-mile pathway, affording recreational opportunities such as biking, skating, picnicking, and fishing. Kellogg Arena is host to concerts; sporting tournaments; and the city's basketball team, the Battle Creek Knights.
