"Formerly grand, urban hotel."
We, (Mom, Dad, adult daughter) stayed two nights over Preakness weekend. This hotel is very grey--the lobby, and rooms are all in tones of grey and dark. The lobby is still somewhat grand. This hotel is perfectly adequate, but could be much better. Room was good-sized, very clean and well made up, but lacking in lighting, trash can, drinking glasses for water. Parking is 1 - 2 blocks away, and a bit pricey: $37.50 for valet, $15 for self-park. The rooftop Sky-Bar is pleasant, open late with a great breeze. The staff were helpful when you could locate them, but I think there needs to be better training. The LB Bakery is great for breakfast: quick, very good and well priced.

"This hotel is all about location and price! "
This days inn is not bad! When you consider the location and price its a great choice. It will never be confused with some of the fancier hotels in the area..but it works! The price was much less than other lodging in the area and no complaints about cleanliness or staff! Location is convenient to all of the inner harbor attractions.. But still plan on some walking!

"We had a wonderful stay!"
Although our room was a little tight, it was very clean, well appointed, and secure. Decor was interesting because of local history (graffiti and local celebrities are featured) The hotel is on an intersection so traffic noise is to be expected since Baltimore is a busy city. The Inner Harbor is easily walkable and is accessible to public transportation. We really enjoyed our 2 night stay and would return without question.

"comfortable hotel in great location"
Except for unpleasant check-in lady (only saw her initially-- all other personal couldn't have been more pleasant), hotel was wonderful in all aspects (intimate feeling of a boutique hotel, comfortable room, bathroom with Jacuzzi, handsome, atmospheric surroundings-- even our dog liked her experience!), and the breakfast was excellent and reasonably priced. Some rooms have a great view of adjacent park and Washington Monument.

    Explore Baltimore

A working-class city with a heart of gold, Baltimore at first glance seems like a rough-edged character from a Tom Waits' song. There’s plenty of grit to this former port town, but beneath the wise-cracking veneer, you'll find stellar attractions, succulent seafood and friendly residents who put the charm in Charm City.

The Inner Harbor is the heart of this maritime city, and home to historic ships (including the 1797 USS Constellation) and one of America's finest aquariums. Uphill from the waterfront lies Mount Vernon, an elegant neighborhood of 19th-century mansions, galleries, cafes and the excellent, not-to-be-missed Walters Art Museum.

Older than DC, Baltimore is packed with historic sites. You can visit the waterside Fort McHenry, where Francis Scott Key penned the "Star-Spangled Banner" in 1814, or delve deeper into American lore at the Maryland Historical Society, with its staggering five-million-piece collection. Lovers of the macabre can pay their respects at the Edgar Allen Poe House. End the day at cobblestone Fell's Point, with its buzzing eating and drinking scene.
