We stayed at Country Inns and Suites for one night on a road trip. Room was big (that is what I booked) and very comfortable. The staff are outstanding!! I accidentally left a second set of car keys which fell behind the TV. They called and will be mailing them to me today. Nice people!!

Nicely updated hotel very clean and very supportive and helpful staff. I had minor operational issue with my room and they couldn't have been more cooperative and helping me change rooms to my great satisfaction

"Good hotel for a 1 night stay going to or from FL"
This hotel was clean and neat although the decor is dated. I was only looking for something like this to stay one night on a trip back from FL. It seemed like a decent area - better location than the last hotel I stayed at in Petersburg, VA. The bed was overly soft but I was able to sleep OK. -- With a little effort and expense by management this room could have been made more pleasing but it was OK for 1 night.

This is a basic, no-frills motel in the suburbs of a large city. Ideal for the cost-conscious traveler. The free breakfast was disappointing, with very few things to choose from. Overall, a good value for the price.

Originally developed by RF&P Railroad as a resort for Richmonders, trains still run through Ashland. The visitor’s center is a 1920s train station in the heart of downtown. Beautiful historic houses, antique shops, and unique eateries are some of the town’s attractions. Ashland is also home to Randolph-Macon College. A farmer’s market is open downtown on Saturday mornings from May to November.
