Millbrook was perfect! The staff were so friendly, the facilities are second to none and location was so beautiful. The TV in our room wasn't working, but a quick call to reception and someone was there to fix it instantly. The only point I would suggest to guest is not to get the airport transfers if you are in a group as they are unnecessarily expensive, $25 per person. You could get a taxi that costs about $50-$65, so if there was more than 2 people, it would be better to share that cost.

First time staying at a 'private hotel' and really enjoyed it. Best of both the B&B and regular hotel worlds. Very nice and accommodating host, great breakfast selection being brought to your room (so none of the communal B&B awkwardness). Great attention to detail in the units. And awesome location with great views.

Richard was a wonderful host and the room was nicely decorated, cozy, very clean & included its own private outdoor fireplace & seating area. We felt like we were staying at a fancy hotel!! The landscaping is gorgeous, breakfast was great and we were able to take a nice walk through town and along the river because we were so close. The only negatives were the shower/bathroom being combined (without separation) which made for a bit of a wet bathroom floor & no internet access in our room. In the end, we really didn't need the internet because we spent most of our time outside & in the town which are so beautiful. And if we really needed to use it, we could have walked 5 seconds up to the main house/courtyard area from our room and connect there. I will stay here again when I come back for my next visit and would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thanks again!

The cottage was very clean and extremely well taken care of. We enjoyed the hot showers after a long day of skiing as well as the heating which functioned smoothly. The kitchen was well equipped. It is a perfect place for those who want to escape the hassle/traffic of Queenstown but still want to have the opportunity to go to town as it is only a 10 minutes drive to Queenstown.

I was originally in Room 6 but during heavy rain overnight there was a leak through the bathroom ceiling. The staff immediately moved me into room 5 for the remainder of my stay.
Rooms 1 to 5 facing the river are the more modern of the rooms and are nice & comfortable for a winter stay. Room 6 was very tidied and in need of refurbishing; as may the case be with the other rooms on that side of the courtyard. When you book request a room from 1 to 5.
