A wonderful hotel for single travelers and couples who want to stay in a real Parisian neighborhood. Convenient to the Arc de Triomphe (where 3 Metro lines and the RER A converge). The rooms are small, there's limited storage space and the elevator is tiny and the staircase seems like it was built for a dollhouse. Bathroom didn't exactly require contortions to get in and out of the tub, but you did need a plan of action.
But that's often the case in Paris, and everything else was pretty great. Rooms are nicely designed, neat as a pin and spotless. There's one of everything you need (small tea maker, efficient thermostat, a small shelf in the minibar you can use to keep food cool, a desk area (where the extra baggage can go). Bathrooms are great, sufficient water pressure and hot water.
This isn't a room you would spend a lot of time in, but you probably didn't come to Paris to spend a lot of time in a hotel room, and truth be told, you could spend a pleasant enough evening with takeout food watching movies off the Internet; the wifi connection is very good. TV only had one English station, BBC World.
Bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The only noise was a pleasant pitter-patter during a heavy rainstorm.
Full-time reception desk, and the staff was very friendly and accommodative. Breakfast was all-you-can-eat German style: meats, cheeses, pastries, jams and baked goods of many kinds. Hard-boiled eggs but no omelets, etc., though French food is heavy on that.

From the moment we arrived at the Mon Hotel we were cared for. The hotel has a very decadent feel. Staff hospitality exceptional. There is building work close by. It woke me. They apologised profusely, moved us as far away as possible immediately. They lent us equipment. Made calls to airport & shuttle service - anything they could do they did! And the extra touches were lovely. Totally unprompted our mini bar bills were cancelled to compensate for any inconvenience. In honesty we just felt sorry for the hotel being inconvenienced by neighbours. The work will be complete mid May but any irritation is more than made up for by customer service

In stark contrast to the large international hotels down the street, this hotel give you a true feel for life in Paris while also giving you all of the comfort of the large hotel. The breakfast serving is exceptional. There is a meeting room where it is easy to sit and have business discussions. The WiFi is high speed, free, and accepts multiple devices. The surrounding streets are safe with lots of school children and their parents walking to an from school. The surrounding neighborhood has many shops and cafes where I had exceptional meals. The hotel is quiet, has a courtyard garden, and the rooms are immaculate. This will be my go to hotel in Paris.

Pocket Guide: 17th Arrondissement Arc de Triomphe - Palais des Congres Hotels
A desirable residential area, the 17th 'arrondissement' is north of Place de l'Etoile (the star-shaped roundabout at the Arc de Triomphe) with easy access to the suburbs of La Défense and Neuilly-sur-Seine. Parc Monceau is an oasis of English landscaping on its southern edge. The working-class neighbourhood of Les Batignolles lies to the east.
