"A small room but with everything you need "
I needed to orient myself to locate the hotel because the street system was rather confusing. But it was within a few minutes' walk from Nippori Station. Very convenient. the room was clean and very well thought out. I liked it very much!

"Confort and convenience"
Hotel located in convenienvce area i.e. near station, various of restaurant, quiet and easy to find. Facilities in room are good i.e. bed is comfort, hair dryer, coffee maker, TV are available. Room is small, no hair condition and housekeeping service. BTW staff offered complimentary 1 time cleaning service for long stay so we appreciated.

"An adventure. Highly recommended but basic accomm"
I really enjoyed staying in this guesthouse. Ramshackle and quaint, don't expect any mod cons (or air cons), and it's a very good idea to book in early and check the place out first. Not a good place to stay after or before a long flight, but a good, cheap base to explore Tokyo. The owners are very nice, but often overworked servicing the building (they perform all their own repairs and renovations). I electrocuted myself on a light switch here (I thought it was funny and didn't tell the owners) so keep your wits about you and treat the place as if you were staying with a relative. Very nice roof top garden and an easy-going feel to the place. Privacy is a bit of a concern at times in the bathrooms (some gaps in the walls which can be seen through - although everyone is very respectful). Overbooking occurs at times, so again, make sure you turn up early and are happy with your room. I would stay here again (I stayed for a week and was happy with the experience) and would recommend it to my friends. Just make sure you don't expect too much. It is not a hotel by any stretch.

"Asakusa is a nice alternative from busy Tokyo."
We reserved two rooms in December 2016 (for two weeks), but only stayed there for one week...and spent one week in Osaka/Kyoto area. Some of the staff spoke limited English, but it didn't matter...all were helpful. The rooms are small, but not surprising for Japan (...bottom line, you get what you pay for). The walls are a bit thin (heard others talking, or snoring...), but it was not a nuisance. There are two showers on the first floor...and never once did we have to wait. Restrooms are on the first and second floor, and were always clean. Smoking is only allowed outside, which is nice as you cannot smell it from inside. I wish the beds were a bit more comfortable, but it's not horrible either. We were out and about a lot, and only needed a place to crash. It's a little confusing to find the unit (as with most of Japan), but once you're acclimated, it's really simple. There's a vending machine within the building and close by (...yes, hot coffee), and a large convenience store two blocks away. It was rather quiet during our stay (unless you have a noisy neighbor)...personally for us, it was nice being out with all the noise and people, and returning to a calmer environment to rest.

"Nice, convenient, and simple."
Close to the station and easy to find. Lots of places to eat nearby, including good convenience stores. Staff was helpful and fluent in English. I only stayed for one night, but it was everything I needed for a great price. I would consider staying here again on my next visit to Japan, especially if I was traveling solo.

Arakawa is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Arakawa, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Arakawa hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
