"Pleasantly Surprising Camping Resort Next to Beach"
My wife and I were a little cautious about booking a 30 euro per night cabin on the beach- it seemed a bit too good to be true. When we arrived (via taxi, about 20 euro), we were pleasantly surprised. The large resort has rentable spaces to set up tents, small cabins to stay in, spaces to park RVs, and manufactured homes to stay in, all nicely grouped together. The staff was very friendly, and later helped print out instructions for us to take the bus into downtown Barcelona (2.15 euros, maybe 45 minutes). The grounds have a nice little restaurant to sample some varied cuisine (we ate paella, our two year old had pizza), and a well equipped convenient store carrying toiletries, wine/liquor, fresh bread, canned foods, sandals, and more. The bathrooms are shared (three or four large facilities) with private stalls and warm water for showers. Keep in mind it's a camp ground with older buildings (except the new rentable mf homes) - definitely not a fancy resort, though it seemed the staff kept everything pretty clean. There is direct access to a beach, which seemed rather quiet and secluded compared to those near downtown. It seemed to go on for quite a while- definitely not small. Our little cabin had a full bed, empty mini fridge to stock items from the store, a small closet, and a side table dresser, all clean but old. It also had a broom and dustpan, good for keeping the beach sand cleaned up. Overall, if we go back to Barcelona, we will absolutely stay here again.
