This was a delightful hotel stay - we got a real bargain - booked on the morning of our stay at a greatly reduced rate - what a deal! Everything about this hotel was terrific particularly the location - lots of restaurants along with great walkable streets with historic homes and business. We totally enjoyed this experience.

A very nice hotel in a good location close to shops/bars/restaurants and the water front.
The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly.
On the downside it was rather expensive, particularly as there was no free wifi and no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Was give a smoking room despite of booking a non smoking. I was told due to the rates which I get on Expedia we have the last preference in room selection. I had stayed at 4 places all were a 3rd floor accommodation.

I took two rooms for a family of five, each room had a kitchenette with neat and working refrigerator and stove, we did have to bring any cooking ware they already had them, rooms were neat, check in was easy and fast.
Location is perfect, nothing coukd be better.
Internet was a little slow especially during peak period and for activities like video streaming. But generally OK.
The house keeper didn't do a good job when asked to tidy up the room. Facilities are old.
But in all a good place for family on a low budget.

Eminently walkable, Old Town Alexandria offers a glimpse of early America through its 4,000 historic homes and businesses. Many visitors begin their tour at the Ramsey House Visitors Center, near the center of Old Town. One highlight is The Athenaeum art gallery, a Greek Revival structure where legendary Civil War Gen. Robert E. Lee once banked. Don’t miss Mount Vernon, George Washington’s estate.
