My grandson and I wanted to visit DC. We were happy with everything we got to see. It was a little too far to walk to the mall from the hotel and had to spend a lot of money on taxi's. The food in the resteruant was kind of over priced. It was very good but need more to choose from. Menu never changes.

Lobby is modern - beds are comfortable - but there are obvious patches on walls all over the place.
We were in town for a show that ended at 10:30. Went back to the hotel bar but it closed at 11. We would have liked to unwind and discuss our experience over a few drinks

The hotel staff was accommodating and pleasant. The room was sufficient for what it was intended for, to sleep and nothing else. The cleaning crew could of replaced the soap bars more often as our stay was 4 nights. The bed was comfortable. The room was on the small side. The interior treatments above on the walls could use cleaning as there was some dust on one of them. For more on the positive. The location to the Huntington Metrorail line was excellent. It is only .75 mile away and has parking. I think travel using the Metrorail into DC and out is the way to go and this was an excellent site at a great price for that. South of the hotel are numerous dining options but I suggest if you are in DC to make a stop at Gallery Place/Chinatown and eat some Chinese food for dinner. FYI, don't expect a Chinatown like San Fran of Chicago. This one is quite small, but it had many restaurants to choose from.

I was very impressed with this hotel. It has a chic modern feel with a vintage touch. The room was spotless and it smelled fresh. The location is ideal becaus king street has everything you need. The trolley stops just a few steps from the entrance as well. I will defiantly stay here again.

Eminently walkable, Old Town Alexandria offers a glimpse of early America through its 4,000 historic homes and businesses. Many visitors begin their tour at the Ramsey House Visitors Center, near the center of Old Town. One highlight is The Athenaeum art gallery, a Greek Revival structure where legendary Civil War Gen. Robert E. Lee once banked. Don’t miss Mount Vernon, George Washington’s estate.
