Although only a one night stay the staff and room was great in the heart of Alexandria.
Jose was the valet that evening and he was professional, courteous and friendly.
Actually, every staff person was professional, courteous and friendly.

I chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced and is a 15 minute walk to Huntington metro station. From that station you can get to all the attractions at National Mall via a 20 minute metro ride which costs $3 - $4.
Room was very smart as it had been refurbished. I was there for 3 nights and barely heard any outside noise. Wifi works ok, not super fast but adequate. No breakfast but coffee available 24/7.
Area is fine, on a busy road but the traffic noise is not excessive.
In summary, if I visited Washington D.C. again I would probably stay here.

The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. The water pressure in the bathroom would blow you out into the next county. It maybe an older motel, but it was very clean. No mold or smell in room. Next time in that area will book it again. It would be nice if they could add a waffle machine to the breakfast menu.

Eminently walkable, Old Town Alexandria offers a glimpse of early America through its 4,000 historic homes and businesses. Many visitors begin their tour at the Ramsey House Visitors Center, near the center of Old Town. One highlight is The Athenaeum art gallery, a Greek Revival structure where legendary Civil War Gen. Robert E. Lee once banked. Don’t miss Mount Vernon, George Washington’s estate.
