We have just returned from a really relaxing 2 week stay at the Port Blue. We travelled with my 72 year old mum and 5 year old son and I can honestly say that we all had an amazing time and returned highly chilled out. The food is genuinely amazing and any concerns about the variety available with it being all inclusive were lost immediately. There was always a huge choice every day that changed constantly. The staff were also fantastic and couldn't do enough for you and were always smiling and happy despite clearly working incredibly hard and long days. We stayed in a Maris room which although basic due to being an older style room was clean and comfortable enough for 2 adults and a 5 year old. Mosquitoes are clearly active and present so I do recommend using repellents as they are a huge benefit and if used daily you will avoid getting bitten. Its easy to see why this hotel is 4 star and not 5 star. On closer inspection it is in need of some tlc in places especially the cleanliness/tidiness of the pool areas etc but in my opinion this is reflected in the price. The kids club was fantastic and my 5 year old loved the daily mini disco. All in all I'd say this hotel is not perfect and a little tired in places if you look closely but superb value for money if all inclusive with amazing food and brilliant staff. We will certainly be returning.

Having been looking for some time (years in fact) in and around Spain for a five star hotel which caters for children, we were delighted to finally call off our search as we have found this in the form of Viva Zafiro!!! It is a super hotel which just opened one year ago and is fantastic. Excellent facilities for couples & families alike - the kids pools are like nothing I have ever seen before and our little girl aged 6 loved the water bubble which is like a big bubble in the pool that the kids can slide off.
Breakfast Buffet was very impressive; so much to choose from and so many healthy options available. There is even a smoothie station where all different types of smoothies can be made for you fresh.
Rooms/balcony are very spacious and the beds are seriously comfortable!
Finally, the real asset this hotel has is their staff, they are so helpful and have such attention to detail. Nothing is an issue for them. They are so friendly to you and your kids and work extremely hard. I cannot recommend this enough for young families.

My friend and I had an absolutely wonderful week's stay. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. We both celebrated our birthdays and they made us both feel special. All the food was fantastic. We enjoyed sitting around the pool relaxing every day, but the hotel is also very close to the beach and local shops. We also enjoyed each evening's entertainment.
I've already recommended this hotel to friends and am both looking forward to returning next year.

Checked in effortlessly at 2am and the night porter was still very friendly. We had a studio room which faced north (away from the beach) onto the road which I was worried about but as it turns out the road was not busy and did not disturb us at all. NB. Rooms either face south towards the pool and sea or north towards the road.
The studio room was bigger than most hotel rooms and included a mini kitchenette. There were two single beds that could be pushed together and a large balcony. Very happy with the room and it was cleaned daily (left spotless).
Breakfast was included and offered a great choice of hot and cold dishes, served until 10.30am. The pool was small but we had no trouble getting loungers beside it. The beach was basically a 1 minute walk away, as were the main area of restaurants and bars. It really is an ideal location.
Overall a superb hotel for families or couples (no loud partygoers) in a great location with very friendly staff.

Our two year daughter loved the baby swimming pool with its water slides and model squids. The other two pools were lovely - the only criticism being the sun loungers seemed to get 'booked' quite early. The animation and 'Mini Club' were great fun but seemed to be aimed at slightly older children. The hotel mascots, Starkey and Stella, were great but we found it annoying that each nights entertainment ended with a rather disorganised conga through the bar area - great for older kids but not suitable for 2 year olds.
The food was very, very good and great value if you choose to pay in advance. There was everything you could ever want for breakfast or lunch on offer including chocolate fondue and a million different cakes. On occasion the queuing meant the food was a little cold by the time you got to sit down but the quality was good enough not to worry too much.

Great location, virtually on the beach ! We enjoyed a great view from our room. Fairly basic but clean and comfortable beds for adults. The children's sofa beds could do with more comfort. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent with great variety and well presented. Always got sunbeds without having to creep about in the early hours ! Only one criticism is that the bar with the sea view shuts too early at 6.30. There is other options and we could see why they do it but it is always nice to have a sun downer at the end of the day chilling and gazing out to sea. Apart from that, we had a great holiday and really enjoyed our stay, would go back. The only problem with repeat visits to Iberostar is the entertainment - watching Simba and Scar for the 4th year in a row was a bit dull but I think the kids still enjoyed it, we just had to hide in another bar !

The original walled Old Town of Alcúdia is well worth a visit for its reconstructed medieval streets and Roman remains. By contrast the resort area is thoroughly modern with high-rise hotels and tourist shops around the bay. The beach is one of Mallorca’s biggest (15 kilometres) and best, with various water sports on offer. To escape the crowds visit the adjacent S’Albufera nature reserve.
