Stayed 5 nights before half term holiday with family. Chose to stay at the Viva Blue as have had 2 great experiences previously at the Viva Ca'n Picafort. Good service from waiting staff. Always smiling. Food choice excellent especially breakfast. Viva entertainment team worked hard for the younger guests.
A good mix of European holidaymakers.

The location of this hotel is excellent. The hotel is situated within the walls of Alcudia and is only a minute walk from the free parking. The hotel building is original but the inside has been modernised. Very clean and modern feel.

Checked in effortlessly at 2am and the night porter was still very friendly. We had a studio room which faced north (away from the beach) onto the road which I was worried about but as it turns out the road was not busy and did not disturb us at all. NB. Rooms either face south towards the pool and sea or north towards the road.
The studio room was bigger than most hotel rooms and included a mini kitchenette. There were two single beds that could be pushed together and a large balcony. Very happy with the room and it was cleaned daily (left spotless).
Breakfast was included and offered a great choice of hot and cold dishes, served until 10.30am. The pool was small but we had no trouble getting loungers beside it. The beach was basically a 1 minute walk away, as were the main area of restaurants and bars. It really is an ideal location.
Overall a superb hotel for families or couples (no loud partygoers) in a great location with very friendly staff.

Great location, virtually on the beach ! We enjoyed a great view from our room. Fairly basic but clean and comfortable beds for adults. The children's sofa beds could do with more comfort. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent with great variety and well presented. Always got sunbeds without having to creep about in the early hours ! Only one criticism is that the bar with the sea view shuts too early at 6.30. There is other options and we could see why they do it but it is always nice to have a sun downer at the end of the day chilling and gazing out to sea. Apart from that, we had a great holiday and really enjoyed our stay, would go back. The only problem with repeat visits to Iberostar is the entertainment - watching Simba and Scar for the 4th year in a row was a bit dull but I think the kids still enjoyed it, we just had to hide in another bar !

Right at the heart of Alcudia just outside the walls of the old town, and near lots of nice cafes and restaurants. Very very clean.Though it was a bit basic but the apartments are huge, front room and bedroom were both air conditioned/heated, cooking facilities available, also breakfast and the breakfast provided.
WiFi was available in the bar downstairs, or you could pay €5 in the room. There is parking on the streets nearby.

The original walled Old Town of Alcúdia is well worth a visit for its reconstructed medieval streets and Roman remains. By contrast the resort area is thoroughly modern with high-rise hotels and tourist shops around the bay. The beach is one of Mallorca’s biggest (15 kilometres) and best, with various water sports on offer. To escape the crowds visit the adjacent S’Albufera nature reserve.
