Exceptional hotel and its location.
Staff are wonderful !
Breakfast is very plentiful, and yummy.
The rooms need a bit of an update. New carpets and paint.
The gym is small, and there is limited air circulation, and it should be moved to a better location with Windows, fresh air, and a higher ceiling. Staff were extremely accommodating to open the gym earlier than scheduled.
Hotel is spotless and we will return!

We had such a perfect and relaxing stay in this hotel after a very busy Christmas.
The staff and managers were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good
Fantastic beach below the hotel, with "Jurassic" cliffs as a back drop.
Would defiantly go back.

Arrived Christmas day at my 4th airport then transfer to the hotel arriving around 5:30 PM to be greeted by Diago. Not only was he efficient, spoke good English but as an extra bonus he is very good looking. I had left home on the 24th and was exceedingly tired. Check in was quick and easy and my room spacious and clean. Went to the hotel restaurant and had an excellent dinner with a bottle of wine for approximately 35 euros. Food quality and service were excellent. The next morning was very pleased that the included buffet breakfast was plentiful with cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, a variety of breads, cheese, sliced meats, juice, baked beans, eggs, bacon etc. Went for a walk and found many restaurants nearby plus a supermercado and wine stores. Everything at your fingertips. The staff at the front desk, housekeeping and restaurant were all pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this property.

The rooms in this hotel are simply massive and were extremely clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant serves good food and is open till late. I certainly would stay here again. Only small problem was the lack of parking. It was winter and the hotel was not very full but still car parking was a bit of a problem at times.

Amazing time at Albufeira Sol Hotel and Spa from start to finish! Stayed for a week with partner and wish we could have stayed longer! Arrived around 4pm in the afternoon and were immediately seen by reception staff who gave us our keys and our all inclusive bands. Room was lovely very clean and had a kettle, fridge and microwave also had a balcony which overlooked the pool and could sea the sea in the distance. Was surprised at how much choice there was for food and drink. Choice of wine, beer, sangria and spirits, also coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soft drinks which were available from the indoor bar and the poolside snack bar which also served sandwiches, burgers and ice cream. The food in the all inclusive buffet was outstanding! For breakfast there was choice of cereal, fruit, cooked breakfast, croissants, meat, cheese etc. with hot drinks and juice available. Lunch included plenty of choice, different salad choices, meats, potatoes and rice, with a variety of deserts. The evening meals were also lovely with plenty of choice for everyone, one evening there was even a Portuguese theme with traditional foods and dancers for entertainment! Entertainment in the day around the pool included many different activities for adults and children water polo was good fun! The entertainment team were very friendly! The evening entertainment was also varied, Parrot show, singers, karaoke. All inclusive finished at 11 but there is a bar next to hotel with karaoke and good atmosphere!

Nice complex. Good food especially the Creme Caramel. A daily buffet with excellent choice. Very helpful staff. Disappointing that you have to pay for Wifi especially when local restaurants and bars offer Free Wifi.

Overall, a lovely hotel, well laid out and very comfortable. We had a relaxing time but unsure if I'd return in low season as so much is closed. Generally I don't like the 'open plan' bedrooms where the room is 'open' to the bathroom. you can pull the sliding partitions across but these aren't great acoustically and I'm not a fan. Prefer an old fashioned door! The other facilities in the room are all good, lighting options and controls, AirCon etc. Free Safe, all good. No milk provided as standard with the tea making facilities. Charges for the Nespresso capsules but free instant coffee is available. As the room is refreshed/checked daily I'd like to see milk for tea/coffee. I found the buffet cost to be high given that its a buffet, which in most hotels is more reasonably priced. Food was nice. I preferred it a little hotter and the staff need to be a little more attentive once you are sat down to ensure your drinks are topped up or if you want anything. They clear quickly etc but if you're water (which they control) is empty they don't spot that. They aren't idle by any means but that was my observation. All staff were lovely throughout.

The former little white fishing village of Albufeira, now densely developed beneath a sea of apartments and mid-rise blocks, is the region’s most popular resort. The pretty Old Town is wall-to-wall restaurants and bars, though some local establishments and residential areas still remain. Its picture-postcard Fisherman’s Beach, with spectacular ochre cliffs and rock stacks, remains an iconic, albeit often very crowded, Algarve sight.
