Excellent value for money for a 4 star hotel. Great facilities, excellent friendly staff who were extremely helpful and polite at all times. Nothing was too much trouble. Pool towels are a nice touch. We had a deluxe room overlooking the pool which was a nice size and extremely clean. Pool does get busy and more sunbeds are needed. We did use cabs out of choice as went to the old town to eat which was about 5 mins drive. Strip & several restaurants very close by too. Small beach only 5 mins walk with nice beach bar. Main resort beach only a further 5 min walk & spent a great day there. Highly recommend and would definately stay again.

Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. The room, service, food was excellent. Evening buffet rather expensive.
We had breakfast and everything was there!
We will definitely be going back.
Only one problem which was at Faro airport. Complete chaos when we arrived. We had a very long wait for both suitcase and transport. Nowhere outside to sit with no explanation. It turned out that a bus had broken doors and we had to wait for a replacement but we were only told after 2 hours waiting in the sun!
If we go again we may well hire a car instead of all the hanging about.
Journey back to the airport was ok.

the hotel has large appartments but didn't like the hen and stag parties that frequent this area fortunatley there wern't any staying here though the onsite bar was a bit rowdy, beach only 10min walk and bus stop just outside to old town which is much better to avoid the hen and stags.

"Nice hotel, close to beach, restaurants & shops "
A really clean and well serviced hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The room and all public areas are extremely clean and well kept. It is a good location - a couple of minutes walk down to the beach with a few restaurants, bakery and shops and a few minutes walk up to the 'strip' in the other direction where there are lots of bars, restaurants and shops. It is quite a steep hill but you get used to it and everywhere is really close so it's not a problem. The strip is very touristy, with typical themed pubs and identical menus but we found a gem called Stews and More down one of the side roads. The beaches are fantastic - we took long walks and ventured along the cliffside paths to find other little coves and nearby beaches.

Stayed here for a week and had a great time, note this is not a 5 star property more like a 4 but decent enough.
Breakfast was good lots of choice, room was quite outdated but sea views were amazing and space was great.
Staff were very helpful and I would stay here again. Location was great 2 mins from strip and lovely restaurants and beach clubs
Outdoor pool was going through maintenance and did cause bit of an issue for us but we used the other branches pools.

This is a good hotel, with a short walk down steps to the beach. Pool and surrounding areas nicely resourced, pool bar served good snacks and drinks. Breakfast buffet was good, with fresh fruits, cereals, breads and cooked breakfast, but the gorgeous Portugese custard tarts nor the orange compot (= marmalade, essential for a Englishman) were not available everyday, which was a little disappointing. The Basilico restaurant served a wide range of good Italian food, and they serve a themed gourmet buffet in the main restaurant every night. We tried the Brazilian evening; there was a good spread, but the quality of the meat courses was OK, but not great (excessive bone/gristle/fat), and the desserts looked wonderful but too sweet for our tastes. Never the less the price for 'all you can eat' was very good value. Rooms comfortable and clean. 4* rather than 5*; we think the PortoBay Cliff Bay Hotel, Madiera to be superior in many respects.

The former little white fishing village of Albufeira, now densely developed beneath a sea of apartments and mid-rise blocks, is the region’s most popular resort. The pretty Old Town is wall-to-wall restaurants and bars, though some local establishments and residential areas still remain. Its picture-postcard Fisherman’s Beach, with spectacular ochre cliffs and rock stacks, remains an iconic, albeit often very crowded, Algarve sight.
