"Gorgeous beaches "
My husband and I just got back from Akumal. The hotel was beautiful, the beaches were amazing, we enjoyed all the dining and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was great, would laugh and joke with us. Anything we needed or asked for was delivered in a timely manner. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic, relaxing vacation.

"A Pleasant Surprise; lovely room!"
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. We arrived at midnight due a prolonged road trip. We were exhausted! To our pleasant surprise there was someone waiting for us with the key in hand. We did not have to check in or haul suitcases to a lobby. We were handed the key and went straight to our beautiful villa. It was fantastic to relax in a spacious, quiet, spotless room surrounded by palm trees and in a very private location. The property is beautiful with a beach at your footsteps and a beautiful pool. If you are planning to visit Tulum and Chitchen Itza and the Cenotes in that area, I highly recommend getting away from the Cancun strip to this Oasis. You will love Akumal and the Lagoon in town. This is a place you want if you are traveling with either family or as a couple and want comfort, convenience, and privacy. Our villa had a full kitchen so we went to the grocery store and cooked our own food the way we like it. Highly Recommended.

"Great Resort but listen to staff. "
Overall everything was great. Only bad thing we were "upgraded" which was technically a down grade they moved us farther from the beach. Food was amazing. Really enjoyed our stay.

"Well worth the money "
Hotel is over an hour from the airport so for ground transportation would recommend private shuttle(car) so it does not stop at other hotels and takes even more time to arrive at Coba. This is not luxury hotel but it offers pretty cheap deals and its worth every penny and more. Check in was easy and quick(but they do not give any information about programs that hotel has and offers, shows , stores restaurant hours etc.). Property is big 4 hotels plus shopping center at same property they should give you more information about beach, restaurant location hours transportation. Rooms are specious and cleaned on daily basis, how ever they are in need of an update, fresh coat of pain and some new curtains and ed spreads would do big difference. Air condition is not working well but it was not to bed. Buffets are good.Restaurant you have to try Brazilian steak house , it is excellent. Coba guest can also use Tulum Hotel pools, buffets and restaurants which are a little bit more bigger and brighter , also there are dolphins at the pool beach , that pool seams small for 5 of them but they do seem healthy . Beach and other hotels are not as far as they seam, and you dont have to walk there are those little card that pass every couple of minutes and transport youwere you need to go, and they can be reall fun. There is also kiddy pool for kids up to 8-9 years old, teen club for 13-17 each night there is 2 shows at main lobby at 8 kids friendly and at 9 for older audience.

"Excellent location!"
We loved our vacation to the Grand Palladium. We stayed in the Colonial section which was perfect. It was close to the two main buffet & other restaurants. It was also near the pools and beach. The beach was so beautiful and blue. The hotel staff were so helpful, caring and made things wonderful. It was such a relaxing vacation and I would love to go again.

"Super views, great staff, every detail wonderful."
Second stay at our favorite vacation get away. Small, private, great rooms. Great staff. Great food. Nothing better than lounging in a beach bed all day while a friendly, attentive, attendant takes care of you. If you want to be pampered, this is the place!

Pocket Guide: Riviera Maya Akumal Hotels

Snorkeling and diving are popular in the small resort town of Akumal, and at Kantenah beach to the north, where the coastline runs parallel to a protected coral reef. In the summer months, sea turtles crawl onto the white-sand beaches by moonlight to lay their eggs. Yal-Ku Lagoon, once a trading route for the ancient Maya, is a bird watcher’s paradise, and can be explored by foot or kayak.
