Absolutely a Fantastic Experience!
When I booked the room I booked through a website that was not the hotels website. We were traveling with 3 people so we would need a room bed and at least a cot which was not guaranteed, which I understood, I took a risk. Upon checking we were given a room with just a double bed. I asked if there were any rooms with two double beds or if we could get a cot. After some clicking around we were put into a room with a double bed and a sofa bed. Megan at the front desk asked us if we would like the bed made for us, we declined. When we got to the room it was absolutely perfect and way more than we had expected. This is exactly the type of service that will bring us back to this hotel next time we are in Boston, which is often. It was the type of customer service that every other hotel should try and match up to. We didn't spend a lot of time at our hotel but it was extremely quiet on the 11th floor. The place was perfectly clean and the beds were comfortable. Thank you Boston Park Plaza Hotel and Towers.

Not so great
Although this hotel has a rich history, is staffed by helpful and considerate staff, and is well located, the rooms are small and poorly accommodated. There was no information in the room for use of any of the hotels services - room service, overall hotel layout, fitness center. The bathroom shower did not drain adequately leaving water all over the bathroom floor. For the price it was a disappointing hotel. I have nothing but good things to say about all my interactions with staff - they had a friendly and helpful attitude and answered questions.

Great $$$ Great Location
Had room w/2 Queen beds. Plenty of space for the three of us. Coffee in room. Bathroom small but functional. Housekeeping did a great job. Staff courtious and helpful. Location was perfect. Close to Copley Square.

Nothing Special
I stayed here for a conference, with a colleague. I got in trouble when I tried to check in without said colleague (the reservation was in her name.) Though I had the reservation number, the woman at check-in said I had to have a copy of the registration confirmation email. That seemed fair, though her manner was cold. And it never improved. Not when I checked in with my colleague and not when I checked out. In fact, the front desk moved at a rate reminiscent of icebergs. No hurry there.Our room was small and clean. The bathroom was tiny and the sink and tile reminiscent of the 1920s. The tub felt shifty underfoot, which made for quick showers. The basics were provided: alarm clock, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, etc. Everything was good (not great.) You can hear noise between rooms fairly easily and street noise requires a closed window or earplugs. Service at the hotel's restaurant was also a bit slow and sometimes servers had to be flagged down or reminded of items ordered. The central areas are pretty in an old-school grandiose old Boston way. But other than that and convenience of location there wasn't a lot to recommend this place. if you get a low rate and plan to spend a lot of time outside, book a room. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere.

Very disappointing
This hotel is famous in Boston but it was a very disappointing experience. The rooms were cramped, shabby and grimy. The bathroom was extremely old fashioned and not completely clean.The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable.The walls were paper thin and we could hear everything going on in the next room, so much so that I had to ring the concierge to ask our neighbours to be quiet.The porters were aggressive in their stance to get a tip when retrieving our luggage.I will never stay here again and I would not recommend it to anyone.
