Great Holiday
We stayed 4 nights and booked dinner, bed and breakfast. We had a ground floor room as my Mum is disabled and a stair lift enabled access to the dining room and reception. The hotel was clean, comfortable and food was excellent. But I must say that the jewel in the crown of this hotel is their staff. Every member of staff we met were always happy to help and their customer service was excellent, from receptionists, cleaners, bar and restaurant staff and also the young man who worked in the golf shop, all were really happy to work there and what a difference that makes. This hotel is a gem and I will definitely be returning.

Family Friendly
my family and I stopped at the Hotel and was very happy. Very friendly and helpful staff excellent customer service. The room was very well maintained and had very comfortable beds. The room also had a flat screen TV with digital free WIFI and all the things you would need for a break. We all left feeling relaxed and will be staying again as its a great hotel at a great affordable price

top notch
I stayed at this splendid hotel over the bank holiday week end and it was fantastic. From the second you enter to the time you leave you are treated as special. The rooms are well set out with every thing you need. the breakfast is truly wonderful and served by friendly and efficient staff. The food in the restaurant and the bar are exemplary. I look forward to returning to this beautifully quaint hotel

Business trip
Stayed at this hotel while on a business trip in May 2013. Hotel itself is a little dated but was very clean. Food in bar was of an acceptable standard for the price and the breakfast was as you would expect for this kind of property. Room price was reasonable and bed was very comfortable although the room was a bit on the small side compared to the larger modern hotel rooms.

Not its usual standard
We have regularly visited north shore to eat as well as stay for weekend breaks but on this occasion we found the service to be quite poor. North shores regular staff have always been friendly, polite and have provided excellent customer service but on a recent visit we felt this lacking. A red headed bar person was ignorant and rude and we observed his lazy approach to work leaving a young girl to get everything done. Our food order was taken incorrectly and although sorted out meant that one of our party were waiting a long time after the rest of us were eating.The food has definitely taken a backward step and the chocolate sponge pudding has clearly been taken out of a tin and microwaved hence the gelatinous sauce.Come on north shore you are usually better than this and your food is usually excellent.
