Great Value, Great Service, Well located.
I have stayed at Red Wings many times, on one occasion I stayed there every week day for over seven months. Its well located by the A1 giving you easy access to Huntingdon, Peterborough and Burghley Park locally, and London further afield . The room are well appointed and clean, the staff are really helpful and nothing is too much for them. The bar is very cosy and friendly. Great Value and would stay again.

for a basic hotel, the redwings lodge always meets high standards, a good location, good rooms especially the premium rooms, friendly staff and decent prices. I have yet to have had a bad night at the redwings lodge.

Good location, good value, perfect for a short stop over in the Huntingdon area.Comfy rooms, good TV, small but sufficient breeakfast area, small bar and games room.Asian buffet restaurant and petrol station opposite.

Great motel. Excellent rooms. Very clean
Great roadside motel just north of Alconbury.Rooms nicely docorated and spotless. Nice little bar with microwaves for your own food. No meals served but amazing Indian buffet restaurant oppositeBreakfast just juice, cereals n toast. Downside : next to noisy A1 so best get a room at the back

A false economy
We stayed at the Redwings Lodge for the Burghley Horse Trials in September as there was little other budget accommodation available in the area. We were booked for two nights and while we were on a budget, I would have paid anything to be housed elsewhere!The hotel is very close to the A1 and the traffic noise is loud. The rooms are small and open windows would be preferred but this is an impossibility if a quiet nights sleep is to be had. The hotel can do little to change it's location but it could do much to improve it's condition which is tired to say the least. If it is used for business, I cannot imagine travellers feeling fresh for a days work in the morning, nor can I see how holiday makers would feel cheered by the place. The rooms are poky with tired decor and really old carpets. The beds, bedding and towels are tired and tatty and the put up bed we were offered for our daughter was pretty much broken with a massive hole in the base that she kept slipping into in the night. The alternative was to be given a second mattress so she could sleep on the floor. Not ideal. Breakfast was equally drab so to be honest we could not get out of there any faster. Staff were doing their best but seemed also to be tired and running out of steam. I don't blame them with so little to offer guests they don't have much to take pride in at the end of what can only have been a summer of disappointed customers.
