i've stayed here twice now, i ride mountain bikes and come over to wales as often as possible, i've camped here, which is great the facility's are fantastic, red hot showers, dry room etc as mentioned on their website. the second time i stayed me and 9 other riders stayed in the bunk houses, only ¿¿3 a night more then camping without the stress of building and dropping a tent. the rooms are snug & warm, couldn't ask for more for such a low price, only disappointment was no electric point to charge phones, laptops etc, they do have power points in the communal areas but this means you have to sit and wait for your item to charge otherwise you'd be leaving items vulnerable to theft, maybe... this place really is for riders and walkers, sit around the fire pit at the bunkhouse yard, drink a few beers and chat with friends, amazin.breakfast here is spot on, fills a gap for slightly over average price. all in all though everything is spot on and i and several of my riding friends will be back again for sure.

Found this charming B&B by chance and had a lovely stay. At the last minute we decided to set off on our 300 mile trip to Pembrokeshire on Friday afternoon, instead of doing the full journey on the Saturday as we have done in the past. We didn't have anywhere planned to stay, just decided to stop when we were tired and find somewhere. We got to Dolgellau at 7.30pm and had had enough so tried our luck in town, having driven round twice we just didn't like the look of the accommodation available. However, a few minutes outside town we came across a signpost for Dolgun Uchaf and drove straight past! A few moments later we found the Crossed Foxes pub and tried our luck there. They were full but kindly rang Dolgun Uchaf for us, secured a room and back we went. What a lovely place! The room was beautiful, so well appointed and comfortable and Eleanor was so warm and friendly, despite us disturbing her into the evening. We had a very peaceful night's sleep, and a great breakfast next morning too. Will definitely use Dolgun Uchaf again to break our journey.

Spent a week in this two bedroom self catering cottage which was formerly a converted stable. We were greeted by an incredibly helpful girl who very proudly gave us a tour of our accommodation. It was very modern and beautifully equipped and we particularly liked the open plan downstairs. It was spotlessly clean and no detail had been overlooked. My only criticism was that there were no bath mats but we did have soft fluffy towels and the shower was amazing. We had a little patio and grassed area outside and ample car parking. I can imagine sitting outside in the summer enjoying a drink and the view as the sun goes down and hope to experience that in the future. There is plenty of walking to be done nearby and we were happy to be able to cycle on very quiet lanes up to Coed y Brenin to enjoy the mountain biking there. There is also a very impressive disused railway cycle/walking track from Dolgellau to Barmouth where there is a beautiful, sandy beach. Our only regret is that we had to leave after a week!

We spent two wonderful nights in the beautifully appointed cottage which we were allocated after booking as B &B. The cottage was expensively renovated and fitted and there was wonderful attention to detail that ensured we lacked for nothing. The beautifully decorated and furnished bedroom had a king size bed, stripped beams, flat screen tv and immaculately clean, well appointed bathroom. Downstairs was a perfectly lovely dining kitchen with great views of Snowdonia, plus an exterior dining table on a private terrace, also with lovely views. Breakfast was lavish and of excellent quality, with plenty of fresh fruit, cereals, and freshly cooked full English breakfast. We would certainly recommend it to friends and would love to return.

Really enjoyed our stay at this charming B&B. Had a lovely relaxed night in the apartment flat where our two small dogs were made welcome. Picked this B&B primarily because it was dog friendly and close to Cadair Idris, but would stay here again with/without dogs.
