Over night stay
Stayed over night here on the way to a wedding. The room was very pleasant with a bath and shower over, which was very welcome. A good spray from the shower. The bed was very comfortable. We had a very pleasant outlook from our downstairs room, number 28, onto a grassed area and field with a horse looking over the hedge. There was also a large flat screen television in the right position for watching in bed! one easy chair, enough tea & coffee, but only one hot chocolate! The room and bathroom were very clean and there was adequate shampoo & gel for us. We didn't want a big meal so went to the bar - The Twisted Boot - and had an excellent sandwich which came with fries and salad. The restaurant looked good with a very nice menu if you need a bigger meal. Breakfast was in a very pleasant room and was good - just one gripe - no decaf coffee!!! This is so annoying especially as many people now only drink decaf. All the staff were very nice and I would certainly stay here again if we were up this way. There seems to be lots to do in the area.

Large room let down by breakfast
We stayed at the Kings Court hotel last weekend. We were in a Kings room which I think had recently been refurbished. The room was huge compared to some rooms we've had in hotels with a similar price. The bathroom was clean and modernised. The breakfast buffet was OK - not great but I don't like buffets in general so maybe I'm being a bit unfair. There was a choice of cereals, fruit etc and hot dishes such as eggs, fried bread and bacon. The staff were helpful and friendly and this become very clear after we arrived home and found that we'd left out jackets hanging up in the room. (We'd arrived in torrential rain and hung the jackets in a separate part of the wardrobe to avoid wetting the rest of our clothes. The weather then changed and we didn't need them again which is why we forgot they were hanging there). My husband called the hotel and spoke to Bess who said that Housekeeping who would normally have the items had gone but that she would try to track them down. Bess called back 20 minutes later to say that she had found them.Monday was a bank holiday so no post but the items were posted to us on the Tuesday and arrived today (Wednesday) which is great service. We'd stay here again if we visit the area.

Lovely retreat
We stayed in the hotel which was booked as a Living Social deal as an extra treat to ourselves! The Premier room was lovely and spacious with lovely relaxing decor. We had our 3 course evening meal included which was really tasty! as were the full English breakfasts which had so much choice! The hotel was really peaceful as all rooms were at the back of the hotel away from the main road. Even though we had a room on the ground floor there were no noise issues at all! The hotel is a short distance from Stratford- on- Avon which we visited. We went on open top bus to see the 5 houses of William Shakespeare followed by a river boat cruise. Had a really great weekend with magnificent weather! Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone! The staff were really friendly and service first class!

Good Lunch
We were visiting Coughton Court nearby and checked out several pubs for lunch in Alcester. We ended up here by mistake! It turned out to be a happy accident. I had melon with fruit sorbet and salsa which was very good indeed. My partner had soup and veal stew which he praised highly. Service was a wee bit slow but we were not pushed for time. Our Polish waitress was lovely and very helpful. The bar was quiet which was a blessing. Some folk were eating outside and seemed warm enough although I was not going to risk it. This was a good lunch and I would come here again. The building is old and the bar had a good atmosphere.

Awful. Not what the website offered.
Large room but cracked walls and delapidated industrial style bathroom. Happened to be right next to the very very loud function room.Off the road you see beautiful timber frame with ivy. Round the back you get dirty mid 80's chintz with a hint of bad b&b. i am just stunned, like a veal calf just wanting it to end and to think I actually paid for this.
