Harrah's Hotel & Casino Experience
it is obvious that this hotel and casino is old, but, as one would appreciate the feeling of being graciously welcomed by its management and staff. I like the Colorado River taxi access from the Hotel and the small beach area. Although the current was rough, it was a nice experience.

Exciting
My neighbor and I spent the night 4/26/2013 which was a Friday. It happened to be "River Run" the whole week end for Motorcycles from all over the country. It was crowded but we saw thousands of motorcycles and met a lot of very nice folks. Our room was satisfactory, clean and a good size and we had a real nice view of the pools. We ate at the buffet which was very good. A lot of seafood, mounds of crab legs, and other delicous foods which was hard to pick. Variety of choices for desserts. The casino was up to date with machines and the areas were kept clean. Velet service was also good plenty of help throughout the whole area. Would highly recommend Harrah's for a quick get-away.

Mixed Feelings
Hotel is definitely older and showing it's age. Room had an odd unpleasant odor...and not from prior smokers...more like musty or mildewy. Bathroom could definitely stand some TLC. Most of what I saw could use some remodeling. Gaming was pretty good and food prices and choices was excellent. Definitely a better value than found in Las Vegas. Parking garage is a long, long walk to the front desk and then on to our room. Elevator was so slow we weren't sure it was actually moving. Check in was monumentally slow. Only one person on duty at 4PM. Lines were long.

Comp and Clean
We have never stayed at this property when we were in Laughlin in the past, we have had lunch here, played a few machines but this time we decided to stay for a few days. We wanted to take advantage of the beach area that everyone has spoken about, the weather was a little cool so we were only able to try the pool out for about minutes, again the weather would not co-operate and it was too cool and too breezy. BUT, from what we found at the pool area, we will be back, great idea to have an adults only pool, bar, work out room etc.The playing floor had a great number of different machines available, must say, we really did like the idea of having drink order staff with Ipad's taking advance orders, certainly speeds up the drink deliveries. We were pleasently suprised with our room, we honestly had no idea what to expect. The beds were too comfortable, infact, I did not want to wake up. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. But, if you want coffee, bring your own coffee maker, there is not bar fridge/micro wave/safe in the room there is a Starbucks on the Casino level and a safe is available at the front desk at no charge. We will be back again

Worst experience ever.
Do not stay at this hotel with all the other choices in Laughlin. We booked our rooms 3 months in advance for my wifes graduation, we payed extra to have joining rooms. Of course when we get up to our rooms the are next to each other but not joining. They told us sorry but they had no more available even though we reserved them 3 months in advance. To top it off we went to take our children down to the pool and they were in the middle of draining the family pool. We complained and they just did not seem to care that they had ruined our stay since the kids did not get to swim and my wife and I had to sleep in seperate bedrooms. The hotel was dirty and the staff was very unfreindly and did not seem to care that we were unhappy and offered nothing to fix it. Beware of this hotel.
