Excellant service
Stayed here for three nights during the flooding in the south west.The room was clean and comfortable with an excellant breakfast.Jo and her husband were most helpful in helping me negotiate around flooded roads to get back to them from where I had been working and even fed me on the last night of my stay as it was impractical to go back out to get a meal due to road closures.Could not recommend this place high enough due to the way you are looked after.If you want a peaceful nights sleep, this is the place to stop.

A pleasant stay
We spent 4 nights at the Old Rectory. It was well placed for us to explore the area and travel on the West Somerset Railway. The Rectory is charming and spacious and full of interesting books and information. It seemed that nothing was too much trouble and Jo was most helpful and indeed the perfect host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very good value for money
Stayed there for three nights to watch cricket tournament in Taunton. At the end of a quiet road; this B&B offers excellent value for money. Rooms are nice and clean and have everything what you need. You can watch TV in your own room and in a communal room. Breakfast is good as well and a very friendly owner. Will definitely go there again.

Peaceful and pleasant one night stay
We had a very brief overnight stay at the Old Rectory and it ticked all over boxes. Our double room was simply furnished and the books made a nice feature. Bathroom was clean and well kept. Bed comfy.Had an excellent cooked breakfast in the morning and a quick chat with Jo before we left. All very pleasant and restful.

Very peaceful, comfortable accommodation and very welcoming owners
My wife and I stayed at the Old Rectory on 10th June 2011. The accommodation is just outside the town centre but in a very rural location. It was great to wake up in the morning and hear nothing except birdsong and see a pheasant walking accross the garden!. The accommodation was great, we slept well and the breakfast was excellent. What really makes a good bed and breakfast are the owners and this is were the Old Rectory scores well. We were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
