A great stay
What a great place - a B&B with modern rooms and all mod cons, easily up to the standard of a good hotel. It really scores on the many added personal touches, including a wonderful breakfast of local produce, freshly made bread and eggs from the chickens that roam the lovely garden outside your window. Highly recommended.

Peaceful, good value and very high standards
We stayed in one of the chalet-style rooms at The Steppes for three nights in April 2013 and we really liked it. A hospitable welcome with tea and cake which was greatly appreciated. Warm, very comfortable and beautifully furnished accommodation; tea/coffee-making kit with good quality products and fresh milk in a little fridge; scrupulously clean; faultless breakfast with plenty of choice including home-produced free range eggs and fresh, homemade bread; friendly owners. Who could possibly ask for more?! Highly recommended.

What a find!
Stumbled across this place while looking for somewhere cheap to stay while I worked in the area and hugely surprised (pleasantly!) by the quality of everything.Close to Hereford, quiet, comfortable, relaxing and well appointed. I travel a lot but I'm not used to staying in places this welcoming. The people who run the place are lovely and the food was delicious. Room had everything I could want and many little bits I wasn't expecting for free such as fridge, wifi, TV.Heartily recommend to anybody else travelling to the area for work or for leisure.

beautiful country chic!
wow!! what can i say? I had the most wonderful time when I stayed at this B&B. The room is spacious, with nice selection of qood quality amenities including an added bonus of toaster and fridge, great tea & cofee facilities with selection of biscuits.Room is spacious beautifully decorated, nice ambience, picture perfect - its like being in a 5 star rural country paradise. I booked my stay here as was working in Hereford. The breakfast is wonderful - a wide selection on offer of both continental and hot breakfast - your order is specially prepared according to your own requirements -home made bread is absolutely delicious. Lin & Martin are very hospitable & gracious and make you feel very welcome. Lin will prepare breakfast for you over her Aga in the kitchen - its so lovely to sit and have breakfast there. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I would highly reccommend this B&B - It's equivalent to staying at a 5 star hotel. Hope to come again, next time here for work..NA (Birmingham )

Relaxing rural retreat
Just got home after a relaxing weekend break at The Steppes. This BnB is in a lovely (if a little tricky to find!) location and ideal for exploring the city of Hereford and surrounding towns and villages ¿¿¿ I really liked both Ledbury and Hay on Wye ( a 40 minute drive away). The bedroom and bathroom were slightly smaller then I expected but clean and very comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. Lin and Martin are very welcoming hosts and make an amazing breakfast to set you up for the day! It was lovely to have sheep and chickens at the bottom of the garden, making it feel like a proper rural retreat. Would recommend to everyone.
