Mainly for travellers
A small, 5 bed guest house. Adequate, comfortable rooms. Our shower was spacious. Tea making facilities,TV and free wi-fi. We only stayed for one night, as we were attending a family par sty, this was quite a privilege as they normally do not take short lets. The breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. We were greeted in a friendly and helpful manner and nothing was too much trouble for the attending staff. There was only one shortcoming and that was the heating, which seemed to turn itself off at about 17.00, meaning the room was chilled at bedtime, however, we were not cold in bed and in the morning everything was sorted. Certainly one to recommend.

One night stay excellent.
We stayed here late in September for one night on a Saturday.Welcome was nice and friendly and check in was swift.The room was a lot better than we expected (we tend to stay in Hotels, premier inns or the like for a bit more comfort now we are in our forties) Spacious, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, multi channel telly, bright decor and clean.Breakfast was nice with plenty of choice in a really nice room.Cannot fault this place, 4 -5 minute stroll and you are in town with loads of pubs and eating options.Banbury is well worth a visit, great little town and the surrounding areas are beautiful.I would use Avonlea as a base for a longer visit next time.

Avonlea
A very good guest house, comfortable beds in every room with immaculately clean bedding.Good electric showers in the ensuite bathroom.Very good breakfast with a good choice, freshly cooked to order.

Pleasant stay
Spent two nights here whilst away with work, very centrally located. Received a friendly welcome & the room was very clean, no thrills but more than adequate (wifi available). Excellent breakfast, cereals, full English, toast, juices, tea / coffee etc.

Beautiful Home from Home
I was working in Banbury in June and visited Avonlea Guest House. Set back off the main road with its own car park outside made it very easy to find. I was welcomed and made to feel at home as soon as I arrived by the owner. Lovely and clean throughout and everything that you could want for a comfortable stay. Would definately reccomend to anyone staying in Banbury.
