We spent one night on a raft on the river Kwai during our tour from Bangkok to the north of Thailand, I must say it was a very interesting experience. The room was confortable and had a small terrace. The little island was very interesting and the food was good. Something to remember.

Loved this place tranquillising. This is my 2nd time there just as relaxing as the first.But if you hate the heat it could be a different story.No shops so no hassling We had a wonderful guide with great English was very knowledgable

Stayed 1 night on the rafts. Rooms basic and clean. Mosquito net over both beds in room. 1 single 1 double. The food was basic and lots of it. Lots of the staff have little English but try. Some of the younger ones are bored and it shows. Our guide was Sam, English incredible with Aussie accent, 2 Dutch girls were with us and he could speak Dutch also. The trip to the local village interesting, this is not a pretend village but where the Mon live. Elephants came down to the river in the afternoon and back again the next morning. Felt 1 night was enough but what an experience. Husband enjoyed floating down the river.

Agree with other reviews staff really not interested. Don't do the evening show. 150 baht you would be better off spending on beer! Is more amateur than a children's school play actors didn't look at all interested.... Thankfully only 25 minutes long so pain was short lived! Floating down the river with life jackets on was lots of fun. If you are looking for this sort of trip research the other resorts available as some of the other lodges we passed looked much higher standard.

We were in Bangkok on business and had a weekend to spare; reluctant to shop and sweat in the city, we took the 4 hour drive (roads were crowded with others escaping the city...) to Boutique Raft Resort River Kwai. I admit, we found the place on the web, and feared what we would find, as there were no alternatives to fall back on....Had a blast! Very relaxing, sat on the porch, watched people jump off the bridge and flow by our room (my husband did too!! I got cold feet...)Food was OK, nothing special, so we walked out of the resort - found just outside a nice local who made us yummy pad-thai ....Funky toilets - water flushes straight to the river where hungry fish await..
