Far but great!
The hotels new section is great!>>Just one thing that the hotel has to get up and running is the safety on the1st floor balustrade which doesn't exist.Rooms are clean and spacious and they give you free water and a basket of fruit which is wonderful to have after a very hot day in the sun!!The restaurant still doesn't have a cappuccino machine after 5 years of going there which is really POOR!!The service is very slow there is not enough staff to serve the hotel if it's full.The reception staff are good and the manager is very helpful.It's great to spend the afternoon at the pool where the staff are very helpful.

Overall Analysis
We travelled to the western region of Abu Dhabi, just to see what¿¿¿s out there.After traveling for almost 200 km we came across Mirfa Hotel. . The only available Hotel in the Mirfa area however slightly overpriced. We went to take a quick look and saw that the Hotel was quite old, but that¿¿¿s no big deal. But it was a bit untidy seeing ladders, buckets and paint brushes lying near the small drive way. The building definitely needed some painting and window cleaning.Entering the Hotel there was no Doorman or Bell service or even a Hostess to welcome us, as other Hotels typically do.We approached the reception and the staff was quite welcoming and was quick to sell us a room and even show us a standard room. The rates were rather set too high as walk in. but being the only option we took a room and were given a very nice room, you can tell it was newly renovated which was good as it looked almost new.The swimming pool was beautiful and water sports are a 5 mines walk from the hotel.The all day dining restaurant was nice; Nitesh the manager was of excellent service and very friendly.Beautiful place and convenient if one is heading out of the country on the road as a stopover.

Not having what we expected
Stayed in this Hotel with my and one of my close friend's family with three kids during first weekend in April 2013. If you are looking for hotel with beach, don't expect as how shows in their photo gallery. Here is our feedback;01) The rooms are spacious, well carpeted which was great for my 11months old baby to walk around.02) Having spacious bathrooms, but not having hot water. And faucet were broken.03) balconies was not cleaned and full of dust.04) The food is very very expensive. We ordered Nasi Goreng but they served Frid Rice with Egg.05) The pool is not well maintained. Especially the kid¿¿¿s pool is not at all maintained with temperature. 06) The playground gives cause for concern on a safety level. My main suggestion to the hotel for a quick way to make the property more appealing, need to fix garden as fast as possible and it would make a huge difference to the hotel.07) Also repair the water overflow grates around both pools as the present damaged ones are a accident just waiting to happen.08) However there is no beach in front of the hotel although their photos show a nice beach with walkway. Sports activities were also not available. 09) The staff is quite friendly and reasonably efficient.10) As a hotel to visit for a holiday or short break, I don't feel the hotel is yet ready to accommodate this type of customer.Thank you to all staff for making us so welcome :)

Good value for money
My wife and I stayed at this resort with our twin babies, for one night during a weekend getaway. Here is our feedback:1. The staff is quite friendly and reasonably efficient2. The rooms are spacious and well carpeted which was great for our twin babies to crawl around!3. The food is very very expensive, we paid 120 AED Per Person for a lunch buffet and it wasn't that good either. There are NO places to eat out nearby so they have a virtual monopoly which makes them charge more. 4. There is no beach, the resort overlooks the Arabian Gulf but you can't swim as it's very rocky.5. The pool is well maintained, the pool bar is a very good idea and they have a decent selection of drinks. 6. The drive from Dubai to Mirfa is around 4 hours one way! So keep that in mind as well. Overall we had a good stay, the resort is a decent one with good views of the Arabian Gulf.

not what expected
if you are looking for hotel with beach sand and swimming ... don't expect much as the photo indicates... our trip was mainly for beach but was disappointed that the hotel is located on gulf but without a beach as its a creek ... that is the only thing which was down to me ..else the room was wide and clean you don't expect this from 4 star hotel ... the BF was basic ... and overall treatment was good .... and their is swimming pool which is not bad ..so if u looking for beach then avoid it .. else as family and relaxing hotel away from the city then its the choice.. their is a public beach next to the hotel but am not sure of it .. the available beach access was not nice as it was shallow and have green things not suitable for swimming .. plus they don't have spa .. the water activities are high priced kind off ....to my regret all the photos which i had took were erased due to error, else i would've added ..
