i have to say we were nearly put off going here when we read the reviews - and it was obvious they have had the desired effect.Yes it is in need of a bit of TLC but so is my house at home - cleaners not coming in regular - we had no problem, how often do you clean your own house (cleaners asked us did we want bedding changed, we told them, we were okay) - i don't do my own bedding weekly - so why would i moan about it abroad; the staff couldn't do enough for us - got there and there was no kettle, we mentioned it and by the time, we had got back to the apartment, the caretaker was there with a kettle for us.Fortunately, because of these reviews the complex was very quiet and at times we had the pool to ourselves - out of 70 apartments, only about 12-15 were occupied and occasionally there were only about 8 of us sunbathing... very very relaxing. People even came from the sister hotel to ours for the peace and quiet - no boom boom music.Also you could eat your own food and drink at the side of the pool - when you have a family this is handy and economical. Lovely walk along the side of the sea.

Just returned from a holiday in these so called appartments and i can honestly say with hand on heart they are by far the worst appartments i have ever been too. I have stayed in basic appartments before but these truly need bulldozing down. Where do i begin, well here goes. Ant infested not only in the apprtment but also in the beds, patio furniture filthy, rusty bath filthy toilet tiles broken around the bath. Kitchen area around the worksurface was originally wooden and was Black with grime and mildew. The fan in bedroom was broke so we reported it and it was never fixed. 38 degree heat and a broken fan NOT GOOD!!!! Under the beds was weeks worth of dust, human hairs and needless to say more ants. The first thing i bought was cleaning materilas and ant powder - normally i would be buying a lilo !!! Good job i did clean the apprtment as we didnt see a cleaner all week - albeit they did change the towells once. Not fit for human habitat. The pool looked inviting from a distance untill you got closer and noticed all the dead wasps around the edges. The only good thing i can possibly say about these apartments is that they are quiet..... thats about it. No kettle no toaster either, however had they have been clean it wouldnt have been to bad as we booked basic. What we didnt expect was filth and sharing the appartment with ants.

We have just returned from a trip to these apartments - if you are thinking of booking, save your money and go elsewhere in the resort as there are far better options. The potential is there with a great pool, but the apartments are so basic. There is no air conditioning (just 2 fans), the kitchen equipment is almost non-existant (we had a very rusty fridge that should have been condemned years ago) and the bathroom needs re-fitting. For 4 adults, the sofa beds are just not acceptable in this day and age. Lovely resort, just steer clear of these apartments.

We stayed August 2009. (it says 2010 because it wouldn't let me choose 2009)Do NOT NOT NOT stay here. The worst place I've ever stayed.We arrived to find that the apartment (if that's what you can call it, more like a shed) was meant to be basic. But we didn't think it would be THAT basic. It was dark and dingy, and too small for 3 of us. By the 3rd/4th day we were starting to feel really fed up of the apartment, it made us feel really ill and grumpy. We spent most of the day round the lovely pool side (which was the only nice thing about the hotel). On the 3rd/4th day we came back to the apartment from the pool to get something, and came back to a horrible burning electricity smell. Obviously worried, we called out the handyman. We saw this man earlier fixing pool tiles. (by the way, the pool tiles kept cutting peoples feet) He checked it and then left. He couldn't speak english, but we found out that we couldn't use the shower all night. The next day the handyman came round with a huge cardboard box which contained a new boiler. We were in the middle of eating out lunch, and he started draining the old boiler. The boiler started flooding the kitchen, and we moved the suitcase away just in time otherwise it would have got soaked. We left for a while because I started to get very stressed, and when we came back, the sockets were off the walls with wires sticking out, the smell was back and then there was another man working there as well. We had had enough, as we didn't want to risk staying there. We talked to the Thomas Cook rep, who was extremely unhelpful and quite rude to be honest. In the end she came back to us and said that there was an apartment in another hotel in another RESORT that was available. Obviously we were happy to go but not happy about leaving cala n bosch. We went to show her how bad the apartment was, then we got out of the place. The really bad thing was that we had to pay for the taxi there! We then got to Roc Oasis Park in Cala N Forcat, and although it wasn't where we wanted to be, it was extremely nicer than Roc Oasis Park. DON'T. GO. TO MENORCA MAR.It's disgusting, and completely unsafe.Oh and I nearly forgot, a woman had ran out of her apartment in the middle of the night (at menorca mar) to the reception to say that the boiler in her apartment was making banging noises and shooting out hot water from the toilet. This Place is unsafe, don't stay here because it will put your health at risk. DON'T STAY HERE!

On arrival we were given a room that resembled something out of Beirut. On informing the receptionist we wouldn't be staying there we were given a reasonable room, apart from the Kitchen cooking rings which were covered in rust!!!!! After three days of no maid service whatsoever we approached the receptionist, only to be handed a change of towels and bed linen, enough said!!!!! On complaining to the manager, who we found eventually we were offered a change of room to another apartment closer to the port, on a half board basis. As we were happy enough with the pool area and the quietness of the whole area we decided to stay put. Had we been offered this move on the first day of our holiday we would definitely have moved!!!!! It appeared that all poolside rooms were let to Spanish hjoliday makers who had room & maid service daily, i.e. change of towels and linen plus sweeping and mopping. If you like tanquilitiy and basic accomodation then go ahead but if not steer clear.
