sleepless night
We stayed here as we had a very early flight from the airport next day. The noise from the very busy road adjacent together with late night revellers returning to the hotel meant that we slept very little. Add to this hairs in the sink when we arrived and all in all I think I'll spend a few more euros next time and get somewhere of a higher quality.

perfect location for early morning flight but.........
Stayed in thr travellodge recently on a saturday night.Travellodge itself is basic and clean.rooms good price, however pity about the guests that resided there on that particular night.Guests were up and down corridors making noise all night. Would not recommend it over the weekend as it appears to be a party haven for celebrations .....didnt get a wink of sleep management were on the corridor several times trying to do their best to settle loud guests however they seemed not to care and continued on partying. At 4.40 when we were leaving for our trip to the airport the "party guests" were still partying and on the corridor demanding their money back as management were threating to throw them out. So if you are not in the celebration partying mood and wish to sleep DO NOT STAY HERE ......actually felt sorry for management from the abuse they got from the guests up all night!!!!!!!

Dire facilities - do not stay here
I booked into the travelodge for one night, how bad could it be?Travelodge are cheap - I accept that you aren't going to get 4 star service on a 2 star cost. But I have stayed in 2 star hotels in Poland and Romania that were better equipt.Having phoned reception to request a hairdryer and iron, (which I wouldn't necessarily expect in every room given the price - the ability to get one was fine), the lack of ironing board was a bit of an issue.....However when I enquired as to where the shampoo could be found, to be met with the response "oh we ran out, there isn't any in the hotel" I was more than a little shocked. I asked what was being done to resolve the issue? - Apparently nothing....What hotel manager, when informed by housekeeping that the basics were unavailable in the hotel wouldn't have gone to the local cash and carry and just bought in some more??? Clearly one who has no interest in the needs of his guests. I was given no solution whatsoever, just absolutely unacceptable service. The alternative hotel in a similar price range would be the holiday inn express in Northwood, closer to the airport, and very well managed (it's part of the Crowne Plaza next door), I strongly advise anyone wanting a cheap hotel airport to check out the holiday inn express, then any local B&Bs, if you have to stay at the travelodeg be sure to bring the kitchen sink - who knows what else they'll run out of?

Dump of a place..DO NOT STAY HERE!!
We checked in on Saturday 11th May waiting 45 minutes to check in as the staff were so incompetent. When we finally got to the desk we were told we had to pay and extra ¿¿¿100 as a deposit in case we broke anything in the room. This was never said in any email or on the website when we booked. So we had to pay ¿¿¿157 in total for the deposit and the room for 1 night which I had to put on my credit card as I did not have the money. The staff member then charged me ¿¿¿197 making a mistake which I noticed. He refunded me but did not even apologize. At this point I was fit to kill. As we were going to walk up to room security were checking every body to make sure had no alcohol with us. We didn't but other people did and they were told to dispose of alcohol. We felt like criminals. It was my 21st birthday and I felt like going out and sleeping in my car.The room was damp with the cold and we were provided with 1 bath towel and no hand towels. The springs were popping out of the mattress and the room was generally dirty and unwelcoming. There were sperm secretion stains on the carpet, sofa and curtains which was utterly discusting.

Absolutely discusting treated like a criminal
I stayed here with my partner last weekend as there was a group of us going to the wrightvenue for my sisters 21st birthday. We each had to pay ¿¿¿50 deposit on checking in even though it did not state that on the website. We paid it anyway which left us with very little money for going out. We were informed by others that everyone had to pay this and usually if you are over 23 they only charge 50 we are both in our mid twenties!!. Got into the room and it can only be described as a horror show here was excretion stains all over the couch and dried in blood on the floor. So we headed out anyway and said to ourselves we wont think about it beccause its only one night. Checked out the next morning and was made wait half an hour because they needed to check the room which in turn made me late for a booked family dinner the staff were unbelievably rude and i have never come accross such bad attitudes before. I am usually not very picky with hotel but i felt like a convicted criminal in this place with the way we were all treated. I will never stay here again and out of the 12 people who stayed there wasnt one good thing to say about the place.!!!
