stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while on a course with work, gotta say everything was great, bed was comfy, room clean, staff very friendly and heped with anything we needed, also chatty staff at bar and in restaurant made it feel nice. food was nice if not a little expensive but as i wasnt paying i didnt care. only let down by breakfast, i appreciate its an open breakfast bar but there was no bacon, when a number of our party mentioned this we were told it was because there was eggs. they could do bacon next day but then there would be no eggs!! weird, other than tat tho it was a lovely stay and i would use hotel again if i was in area

Excellent Stay
I stayed in the Holiday Inn Express on the Easter weekend when visiting friends. And the hotel was easy to find. It was very clean in the room and the whole hotel in general and the breakfast was great. The staff where very helpful with anything you needed. We had a family room so a nice sofa bed was set up for the kids in the room. Will definatly stay there again without a doubt and very good value for money.

Where is it?
This hotel was not easy to find, when we did arrive the hotel looked very presentable. The staff were friendly, when we got to our room the sofa bed was practically decrepit. The side came off and it had definitely seen its best. The tv was difficult to turn on and impossible to turn off despite using the remote and the on/off button on the tv. Eventually had to pull the electric cable out from the back of the tv. Now the bed. It dipped so much in the middle we were touching all night. This did not give the best night sleep. Breakfast was basic but there was plenty if you wanted it. It would be very doubtful whether we would come here again.

Portman Road
Upon arrival there was a fracas in the car park which did not get us started very well, staff very pleasant, room clean and tidy, breakfast very good, so other than starting off badly we had a nice stay. the hotel was very busy.

Lovely hotel
Stayed here before a recent Star Wars convention - as did all the actors which probably added to the experience! Room was ideal size, very clean, great shower and great use of space. Staff were friendly and helpful - Saw the same staff member at night and breakfast. If you are travelling with children then bear in mind that there s no children's menu in the restaurant- staff split an adult portion between two children for us. Very functional
