Perfectly good holiday but definitely dependant on room allocation!
We have just spent 10 days here with our kids aged 3 and 6. Our priorities for a family holiday are safety and sleep, both of these were met by this resort. We were in block 33 which I wouldn't recommend if you don't like or can't walk far but the upside was that we couldn't hear any of he entertainment noise so the kids slept wonderfully. You would not want to nip to the bar for drinks from this block! The rooms were a bit tired looking but perfectly acceptable to us.The resort caters more to the German population with the entertainment and I would say 75% of the holidaymakers were German so made sense!The entertainment was a bit cheesy but easy to watch.The pools were lovely although the larger pools whilst they have a shallow part for the kids they slope strangely so unnerved our eldest. We stuck to the 2 kids pools instead which we're too shallow for him to swim in but good fun for splashing etc.The food was lovely but doesn't cater to the stereotype of British kids (not a chicken nugget or fish finger in sight) but plenty of other stuff to muddle through with.The thomas cook kids club was fantastic. Having had a bad experience with 1 before I was a bit reluctant but run by British girls following British childcare rules they put our minds at rest on the first day and our 2 loved to go every day for 2 hours (and we enjoyed the uninterrupted sunbathing too!)The only bad thing I would say about the whole holiday was the transfer from the airport on arrival. It took nearly 3 hours to get from airport to resort due to there not being a coach available and then having so many drop offs we were on the coach for 2 hours!

nice hotel allinclusive
we stayed for 1 week .The hotel was very clean .we went all inclusive: the food while plenty of choice the chefs seemed to like to overindulge in its use ruinung a lot of nice food .we were disapointed that the alacarte restaurant as it turned out to be just another all inclusive restaurant ,with not much choice. there are a lot of pools which were all cold bar 1 by the tennis courts which is heated to 24 degrees and heated by solar panels. it is a very big hotel and most blocks had 3 floors and no lifts which is hard for people with pushchairs., the bars and entertainment were very good in the end 1st 3 nights was all dancing last couple of nights they had a legend night and school of rock which was brilliant in the wife wanted a mojito but you have to pay 3 euros if your all inc well worth it other than that cocktails are out of a machine what a shame...... the hotel is situated near a nature park which leads to cala mandrago where there is a really nice beach. we walked around the rocks to get some pics. and walked back through the nature park well worth a visit. while the staff were nice special mention goes to vincenta and anonio who worked hard to please and were very jovial. the hotel lacks the personal touch you get from smaller hotels great for familys not recomeneded for coupleswe got a taxi to porto petro cost 5e/w euros and a taxi to cala d`or 11 euros e/w

Fab Break - all inclusive we will be back
We have just come back after 1 week and we had a ball. We went all inclusive and the food, drink and hospitality were fab. The hotel was full of German and English people - true and unfortunately the pools were cold and it was cold at night but this didn't deter us from having a great time. The entertainment was very good and in English as was BBC1, BBC2 and ITV so we got to watch Britains got Talent - so Rock and Roll. My ten year old had a great time albeit the pool was too cold for her. We played Tennis, Table Tennis, did Horse Riding, went shopping, ate and drank loads, did some work outs in the Gym, watched the Archery and generally had a great time. We would recommend this hotel - all inclusive as the food was very fresh, great selection and the desserts were to die for. It is right beside a beautiful beach were we spent nearly every day due to the lack of sunbeds taken by people not using them which was frustrating however as we left and the clouds opened I did a wry smile when I saw a chap coming in with his towels over his arm at 6.30am!!!!!!!! as he was making sure he they didn't get wet!!!!!! We will be back as we loved it!

Bad Customer Service
I came here last year with my wife and children and had a nice holiday. So we decided to come back this year, with my brother and his family. I contacted the hotel by email to ask if we can have a room close to the restaurant, pool etc. as the complex is enormous and would be hard work walking with our little ones. I also asked if my brothers room could be close to ours. Their reply was that it would cost us an additional 21 Euro's per night, per room. THAT'S ¿¿¿588I responded by saying that this isn't a very nice way to treat returning customers who have also recommended my brothers family. I would like my request for free please. I have had no response despite sending this email 3 times. I don't like being treated like this and I don't like being ignored. From being excited, I am now not looking forward to this holiday at all!

No idea of what's meant by self catering
Stayed here for a week from 19th may 2013. As previously warned we were put at the very back of the resort in block 12. Nearly a half mile walk to the reception and main buildings. No snack bar near our room and even the drinks machine wasn't working, my 12 and 10 year old were bored stiff. They spent most over their time walking up and down the steep hill from our room to the shop. The self catering was laughable, you have to pay 34 euros to hire a tiny kettle and toaster, we had 3 butter knives, 4 forks, 4 dessert spoons and a pea strainer !!!!. That was the sum total of utensils, no pans, no microwave just 2 very small rings, 1 socket so you could have cold tea or cold toast. 25 euros each night in a taxi to and from the town. The hotel is mostly German, but this hotel does nothing to include the British guests, even the t.v was in German and all the entertainment . I could go on and on. The wi fi is none existent. The maids were great the only bright spot of the whole week. Also on the last day the patio erupted under my sun lounger (I weigh 8st), it was all so bad we had no option but to laugh, will pay more attention to the reviews in future, don't go please.P
