I stayed in this hotel for a conference my company was hosting nearby. It was pretty poor, especially considering that the rates weren't that much cheaper than other area hotels. When I arrived, my room wasn't ready. Understanding that I got there before check-in, I told them to call me and went and waited. After an hour and a half of waiting, I checked back at the front desk - shocker, my room had been ready for the past hour. But was I called? Nope. Then, the front desk worker proceeded to take a phone call and completely forget about me while he was checking me in. Nice service. The beds are hard as a rock, bathrooms are small and the shuttle service that the hotel offers - yeah, good luck on it ever being available. All in all, this was a very disappointing stay and I won't make the same mistake next time I'm in the area.

Not a bad stay.
I have just returned to the UK from a stay at this hotel as I was attending The Fest for Beatles Fans at the Empire Meadowlands about 10 minutes away. The hotel is in need of a bit of tlc, a bit of updating is required but overall it is ok. Free breakfast was good, especially as in most hotels in US breakfast is not included! Room was a good size, mattress was a little hard but I did sleep, road noise didn't really worry me a I am used to travelling and staying in cities. Staff over all helpful, didn't have any problems with their assistance, although once when requesting the shuttle to the Fest hotel, I had been told it would be 10:30am and then overheard someone told 11am, on asking the question I realised I would have to wait an extra 30 minutes!! It was a very convenient hotel for the Fest and I would stay again.

Do Not Stay Here!
My Brother and I choose this hotel becasue it is a great location and it has free breakfest, wifi and shuttle service. BUT the worst staff and general manager! We waited at our location to be picked up for over an 2 and a half hours. There was 6 rooms total waiting for the shuttle! In the end it was almost 2:30 in the moring and we were still waiting to get picked up. We took a taxi cab and I talked to the manager the next morning and he was such a bonehead! he was erragent and long story short he would not compliment us nor remberce us for the cab! He called me a lier and tried to make me feel stupied! I asked for the number to the person above him because I didnt appriciate him calling me a lier and him and his staff not making me feel welcome, and he said there isnt a number but that I could "write a letter to the owner" as he said it with a smirk on his face. All of this crap happend on MY BIRTHDAY! The breakfest was cold and the sauceage was pink. Do not stay here! There is a red roof in down the street which probably has better service.

The hotel with no manager.
This has been the worst hotel experience of my life. I booked this hotel because of price, distance to nyc, and it was the only hotel with an available double room. Upon check in I was greeted by two incredibly rude women (after standing at the counter for 5 mins, unnoticed). I asked simply to split the payment onto 2 cards, half and half. The lady turned around and asked how she could split them. After receiving no answer she swiped the cards anyway. We didnt receive our keys until almost an hour later, during which time a very drunk man escorting an obvious prostitute walked thru the lobby causing a scene while the lazy door man sat and said nothing. After getting to the room I noticed a discrepancy on the receipts; both had my info and my card number. When I took it to the front desk the next morning I was told I still had to pay a balance of $152 because the original payment was refunded, even though that money was already charged to both cards and the bank said there was no pending reversals. We asked to speak to a MANAGER and a woman, who claimed to not be a manager but a supervisor, came out and told us there was nothing she could do, there were no managers in the hotel, and We had to pay. PERIOD. After a heated debate she agreed to take our card info and hold it until the money was refunded and then charge us the proper amount. Well, she charged an additional 189 $ on top of the 152. And at checkout a different "supervisor" told us we still had a remaining balance of $152 to pay. After yet again being told there was nothing she could do and being told we were not leaving until we paid the balance we asked to speak to her manager. Again, we were told there were no managers. One of the "supervisors", out of spite, also authorized almost $1000 on my debit card, through multiple purchases. Which left my card useless the whole trip. WHERE ARE THE MANAGERS? WHERE IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE? WHERE IS THE TRAINING? The only souvenir I came home with; BED BUG BITES... Spend a little extra and go somewhere else. This hotel belongs in a third world country, along with its staff. Thank you to Sergio (front desk attendant) for mentioning the owners name.

clean hotel but the shuttle is a joke...don't expect it to be easy
My husband and I booked this hotel based on the location and the free shuttle. We stayed 5 nights the weekend of New Years to enjoy the city and watch the Giants play at MetLife stadium. My biggest frustration with this hotel is the lack of communication and organizaton among the front desk staff with regards to their shuttle service. Although courteous, their ability to manage the shuttle is ridiculous! Bottom line it should be first come first serve, there should be a list of which the driver checks and then you're off on your way. However, that is completely opposite of the way it works. We were told to call 15 mintues before the next shuttle was to come which is every hour of which we attempted to do 3 times and every time we got pushed aside because the shuttle was full. It tooks us over 3 hours to get out of the hotel and we were so frustrated. It cost us a day in the city because of all the nonsense. It was New Year's Eve day and there were no cabs, the shuttle was a joke and it was too far to walk to the train station. We had to forfeit our day in the city because by the time we got out of the hotel it was too late as we would have been stuck in the City for the NYE festivites which is not what we wanted. Not only does the shuttle not run outside the city of Secaucus (don't expect to get to the stadium via the hotel but do expect to pay $20+ for a 2 mile cab ride) and if the hotel is busy don't expect to catch the shuttle. I would not stay there again.
