Nice and friendly hotel
Hotel Palace is located in a quiet area, but not so far from city center, 15 minutes walk. Hotel has a friendly staff, nice and clean rooms, WLAN for free and own parking places next to the hotel. Breakfast was good. It's a perfect hotel for a city trip to Plzen, we enjoyed the stay. Price is really acceptable.

Not staffed
When I arrived I was surprised to see a note on the door asking to go to the Hotel Roudna 30m down the street. On my arrival there, I was told that the Hotel Palace was not staffed - no receptionist, no restaurant for dinner or breakfast and no room service. I would need to use the services at Hotel Roudna. This is not what I expect of a 4 star hotel. I opted to move to the 3 star Roudna so I could have my food in the same building and not be walking between buildings in the night and mornings.......as a solo female business traveller I book hotels with room service and that is what I expect to get when I arrive, not something less!P.S. Hotel Roudna was a nice 3 star hotel - but not as nice as the Hotel Palace looked in the photos!

Great experience
Hotel is great. We were nicely surprised to see that we received deluxe accomodations. Top floor, extra large room, and large bathroom with a large bathtub. Center of the town is convenient 5-10 walk - very easy to get to.Staff was extra attentive. Only negative was the breakfast....left much to be desired. Stale bread, some cold cuts looked questionable.Overall, great stay.

Nice Place to Stay for the Money
We got to stay at this hotel for 35 euros for one night. This hotel was very nice, and everything had a new feeling to it. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. It also included a coffee pot and tea.The negatives were that the parking was difficult to find (it is at the end of the street) and not so easy to use. It is a little tight and the night I was there a big truck parked in the lot which made it difficult to get other cars in.The hotel says it is 4 star, and it is nice but certainly not comparable to a Hilton or other 4 stars I have stayed at. The bed was nice but the pillows were this strange huge square which I find difficult to sleep on. The bathroom was clean but they used the cheapest shower faucet/tap money could buy (seems to be a common thing in Czech Republic) combined with a cheap shower cabinet. Another negative was it was not directly in the historical center where tourists would go to.Overall I enjoyed my stay and would consider it for the future.
