Really nice place
We stayed here the last night of our honeymoon. It was a really nice hotel, the grounds were tremendous. The staff was courteous and helpful and the breakfast was pretty good. Room was nice, but ordinary and it was a bit tough to get to (it's really burried through the woods). We were heading into Temple Bar from here -- and that was a bit of ride, but OK because the cab drivers (both ways) were great.

A memorable experience!
A one night stay having arrived from Dubai: beautiful Georgian house with helpful staff..I had a dinner and B&B deal; it was no problem to eat in the bar , food excellent as was the adjacent golf course. Well respected attractive rural area, just the tonic having arrived from the desert! Could not fault any area.

Very nice, recommended
Availed of International Midwives Day (my wife is a midwife!) where a one-night stay on the May Bank HOliday Sunday night was a mere one euro, so that was a great start!The hotel looks nothing special from the outside but once inside it's very welcoming and old style in decor which I always prefer to the bathroom-like marble of too many modern hotels. Check in was speedy and pleasant and the room to our liking, spacious enough and a fine wide bed!We weren't going anywhere else so we availed of the early bird menu in their restaurant and found it very good value with options for vegetarian and coeliac preferences. Service was smiling and efficient and we found the restaurant relaxed and with a nice atmosphere.After a good night's sleep, breakfast was a nice late last time at 11am but unfortunately a weekend wedding meant (according to the chef) that gluten free bread was out of stock, which was a slight disappointment, but chef made up a fine omelette for my wife who required the gluten-free bread. It was buffet breakfast, standard enough fare but better than the breakfast of last weekend which I reviewed.Overall I was very satisfied with the Roganstown, it's very close to Dublin airport if you're looking for a very nice, quiet spot convenient to flying out of Dublin. I'd recommend it.The barman stated this hotel regularly offers cut-price deals for rooms, so we'll be hooking up with their Facebook page to avail of that if and when they are released. Thanks all.

Close to airport; excellent service
Close to Dublin airport, good room, free spa. We had to depart for airport early so they set up a nice continental breakfast just for us at 6 AM. Also, some idiot (that would be me) left passports at the hotel and didn't discover it until turning in rental car. PANIC! Hertz called hotel and they delivered it to the airport. Cleared customs; made flight; no sweat.

Great Hotel
Went to the Roganstown in February 2011 for a city break. Very nice clean hotel with fantastic facilities. Food is great,people were nice and friendly and food was lovely.I found the food to be quite expensive with portions that are fairly small, but still very nice. If your going to this hotel you will need to hire a car to get around as its quite secluded.
