Lovely hotel, but standards are slipping
Le Meridien Dahab is truely lovely hotel. I was there in Feb 2012 and again in Feb 2013 and whilst it is a great hotel; well decorated, 5 star hotel, with all the amenities you'd expect from a 5 star hotel, I thought the standard had begun to slip. The room aand bathroom was not quite as clean as during my first stay, other than that its a great place to stay with a FREE shuttle bus into town. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Excellent Property - with staff issues.
To be fair and objective would I stay here again. The rooms, the property, pools etc are all in excellent order. The food is alright and the waiting staff in the restaurants are both excellent and attentive.However, I urge the management to replace the security manager at the hotel as he was creating new rules for parking every day which caused quite a bit of hassle for all of us - staff were not able to solve our problems immediately very slow and lethargic at the front desk in dispute resolution for the most basic of tasks. I would easily bump up my rating to this property to 5 stars if the security manger was replaced and if the front desk office staff were better trained to deal and handle problems as they came up both efficiently and quickly. It's a bitter sweet review, really it's quite a shame as this property is excellent but it lacks the most important aspect in any Hotel - Good, reliable and attentive service.

Quite simply excellent
A much overdue review for Le Meridien Dahab -- we returned this past April for our fourth visit, and it couldn't have been better. The hotel is located in the most gorgeous setting -- sunshine is guaranteed -- and the staff is tops. Special thank you to the pool guys, the chaps making the omelettes and the extremely talented resident artist Barbara. All we can say is GO -- it's a brilliant deal at the moment -- you will get all the S's -- sunshine, superb staff, sea, sand, surf -- plus fantastic diving or relaxing (or both!) We are already planning our fifth trip! A big thank you to ALL the staff for making all of our holidays there so wonderful.

Tranquil resort with lovely staff
We stayed at Le Meridien for 10 days over the Easter holidays with our small boy (6) and we had a wonderful holiday. The standard room was fine for the 3 of us, nicely decorated and good quality bedding & towels. Our son slept on the sofa which was made into a bed for him. The breakfast was copious and catered to every taste imaginable. We ate out in Dahab most nights but the standard at the hotel restaurant was good - the buffet is huge and a tip for future guests is that you don't have to have all 3 courses if you haven't got a massive appetite. The beach restaurant is very good and the house reef is great for snorkelling. Others have commented on the infrequent tourist shuttles into Dahab but this wasn't a problem for us as we just used local taxis at 30 Egyptian pounds one way (c 3 GBP). The Meridien staff were wonderful, always smiling and attentive. The only suggestion I would make is to have more regular offers of cold drinks to those sitting round the pool areas. But we'll definitely be back, our little boy wept when we had to leave!

Great Place to Relax - Amazing
Myself and My wife went for 7 days and must say amazing. Great food and staff. Amir the manager really looked after us and also gave us an upgrade to a suite. Would high recommend and will be back soon. Amazing 5 Stars for very reasoable price. Only drawback you are in middle of nowhere
