Great location fantastic hotel
I can honestly say this is one of the best apartment hotels I have stayed in. The apartments are very spacious, comfortable and modern in decor. They have large balconies and ours had a great view over the marina and the sea beyond. The kitchen is small and functional. The hotel itself was probably in the best position in the resort overlooking the sea and the marina away from the noise of all the bars/clubs but within 5 mins walk of all the main resort facilities. The infinity pool is great. Bar service efficient and friendly. Ask for a high floor to take best advantage if the amazing views. This is probably the newest hotel in puerto rico. Beware there are many hotels here which were built in the 70/80's and need updating. We went in April and the weather was very hot but the resort was quieter so we had a great holiday.

Great place but with a few flaws
We took our family to Marina Suites in September 2012, I'm going to provide a brief review but it will hopefully hit the main points and concerns which mainly revolve around safety issues.Positives -Great position - in the harbour far enough away from the noise and bustle of the centre but close enough to all amenities required.Great pool (but not for infants) the pool is narrow to make use of the space but has great views of the coastline, it's a lovely pool but a bit deep for infants (there is a small infants pool)Breakfast facilities are superb, loved the eating area and a great breakfast, would recommend going breakfast only as there are lots of places to eat and you can eat at the hotel in the evenings for a fixed charge (with full boarders)Staff - were generally great and very friendly-Rooms - super rooms, lots of space in the suites, go for a high room overlooking the harbour, best for views and sunAmbiance - In general the hotel feels good, it feels a cut above the rest and initially I would have scored this 5 stars.Negatives -The negatives nearly pushed the rating to a 3, the main issue was safety - We met a lovely Irish family, but one night their little girl had a problem, by the entertainment area, we thought she was messing about falling over initially but then realised she had been knocked out. The cause was one of the outside small pillar lights being live. The little girl had been electrocuted, staff did little at first until a maintenance man came along and also received a nasty shock and closed the light down. The family weren't too happy with the lack of concern / assistance offered, furthermore the light was switched off for the remainder of the week but it seemed too much of a coincidence that it was switched on again once the Irish family had returned home ... I didn't check to see if it was still live!Other negatives were that while it was nice to have outside jacuzzi's it was a shame that these were broken during our stay (it was always to be fixed in a couple of days)Also the lifts are very small and often broke, this could result in 10 minute waits to get to your room (not an option to walk with a pram and kids)Overall this was a good hotel, but there are signs that a little more effort is required on maintenance from both a safety and aesthetic point of view, in general I'd recommend though.

Don't miss out!! *****
We stayed at the Marina Suites for 5 nights in May 2013. My only regret is that our stay was not for longer!The hotel has an optimal location being less than 10 minutes from the beach. The staff were friendly and the food was great. I loved the themed dinners e.g. BBQ, Spanish and lots more. During our stay, we were in a beautiful and spacious 'select suite' on the 8th floor, with views overlooking the harbour and marina. In the day we enjoyed hanging out by the gorgeous pool and were pleasantly surprised that it was never much of a hassle to find available sun loungers. Then in the early evening when the sun started to lessen pool-side, we would retreat to our lovely west-facing scenic balcony to make the most of the last rays before the sun completely set....in summary, simply DELIGHTFUL!!! Thank you Marina suites for granting us such an amazing stay. You really delivered! See you next time! And BTW, we certainly intend there to be a 'next time'!

Loved it!
Enjoyed a week here at the beginning of May and had a great time! Stayed in 312 which overlooked the Marina and is excellent for a spot of people watching! Used the hiperdino supermarket(turn right out of hotel, past the morasol and walk up under the bridge) bars and restaurants all good here too! Went to shopping centre once but thought quite tacky and had ample choice around hotel.Pool area nice but have to agree, crammed in. Didn't use restaurant so can't comment.Joined 'Holiday Club' whilst here-look to the right and up from Marina suites-and look forward to returning in October!Go to amadores and visit ciao ciao restaurant-definitely the best we experienced. Mogan is a nice boat trip but we were bored after an hour! Maspalomas and meloneras definitely worth going to on ferries which leave the Marina.

Very good hotel choice in Puerto Rico
My husband and I enjoyed a week here. The infinity pool, buffet meals, large suites for reasonable price were the highlights. Staff were attentive even asking us to complete a full survey. The negatives included noisy work going on around the hotel, the lack of soundproofing in each suite, and the noise from the busy boatyard next door. However the food, 15 euro for dinner, if you haven't included it, the huge suites with adequate kitchen facilities, large bathrooms and bedrooms outweigh the negatives. We dined out in lovely restaurants around the marina, 5mins walk, and really enjoyed the chic chairs the hotel have placed out on the sea edge. Lots of activities for all ages around the pool and shows at night. Met lots of sets of 3 generations of families enjoying the hotel together. I would recommend this hotel to my friends!
