We stayed here in September last year and it is a beautiful hotel, it is only two stories high and some of the rooms overlook the fabulous pool area, which seem to be in the sun most of the day, we had a room overlooking the shopping area at the back on the ground floor, the room was very spacious and had a ceiling fan and air con if you wanted to use it, there was a fridge although it never seemed to get very cold, there was a kettle provided in the room and you can purchase your tea, coffee, milk, sugar, water etc from across the road at the spar or one of the other local shops. The hotel have lovely relaxing chairs outside the bar area looking onto the pool or at the front of the hotel also by a bar area overlooking the marina, the chairs are like over sized conservatory chairs with thick padded cushions and they swivel and rock, fabulous! The pool is the best I have ever seen and starts from very shallow and gets deeper the further you go, you can walk into it quite easily. The staff are all lovely and very helpful. The restaurant manager works very hard and does a fantastic job and always makes time to speak to you. The marina just opposite the hotel is lovely and all the local shops, bars and restaurants are around the marina. Cala N Bosch is not very big but very nice, there is a small train that you can catch opposite the hotel and I think we paid 7 euros each for a tour of the area, so you can get your bearings. You can also catch a bus outside the pharmacy to go anywhere on the island, which is very pretty with some lovely coves and beaches and its not expensive. The entertainment at the hotel is very good and we used to watch the shows before heading off to chaplins bar, they make you very welcome and you have a good time there plus they have english beer. We also went on a boat trip whilst there, you can either stop off at Cala Galdana and they will pick you up on their way back or continue to another beach area that can only be accessed by boat, we went to the secluded beach but would not recommend it, to get to the beach you have to walk over a lot of rugged ground and rocks, if you fell you would really hurt yourself, it is very dangerous and by the time you reach the beach its almost time to go back to the boat, you can stay on the boat but its rocking so much it makes you feel sick. Cala N Bosch is the furthest away from the airport and takes just over an hour to get there and on a clear day you can see Majorca. We had a lovely holiday and are looking forward to returning

We stayed at Valentin Star, Menorca, in August 2012. Are stay was for 10 days. We wish it was for at least 3 weeks.Staff: The staff and especially at the restaurant are extremely polite and pleasant. They will make everything possible to assist you. Always with a smile are there to help.Location: Well located close to Ciudadella. About 15 minutes by car to the center of the city. Valentin Star is located in a purpose build village i.e. resort. Very close to the beach, about 5 minutes walking distance. Located at the heart of the resort and by the marine. All shops and restaurants are a couple of minutes away. We decided to hire a car which was no problem to park for free.Room: We had a room with a view of the marine. Nice view from the the balcony during evenings.It would be cleaned on daily basis. A small fridge was available in the room for your drinks and snacks. Food: I have seen other reviewers complaining about food for various reasons. I do not understand them. We found that there was a huge variety of food for both breakfast and dinner. Quantity and quality were second to none.Hotel: The hotel was clean at all times and for adults only. There was a large swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds which I must admin you have to get up early in the morning to reserve one. However, as we prefer the beach than the pool we did not make use of it. If you are into entertainment there was something new every night. We would definitely recommend the hotel. In fact we have already booked at Valentin Star our August 2013 holiday. You will not be disappointed.

This was a lovely hotel which I would definitely stay in again! My only problem was that it was a bit to quiet around the marina. The pool was great we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. The rooms were lovely always cleaned and had fresh towels every morning. The food was great a wide variety of food. There was a different type of soup everyday and we enjoyed every one of them! Over all a fantastic hotel but the surroundings a little too quiet.

My wife and I have just returned from 7 days at the Valentin Star and we were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Food, both the quality and quantity, was excellent. The rooms are big, well equipped and clean. The air conditioning works and is not too noisy. The maid service is of the highest standard. The evening entertainment was good. Our only slight negative was the room allocated - room 103.This is right opposite the Shamrock karaoke bar which kept us awake the first evening till after midnight. A polite request for a change of room next morning was met with a quick offer of another room at the other side of the hotel (room 197). They let us have a look at this room first before we agreed to the change. So, as has been said by others, the choice of room is important in this hotel. If possible book one of the 'internal' rooms. These overlook the pool and are better than the 'external' rooms which face onto the roads around the hotel. Some people we spoke to liked the upper external rooms that overlooked the marina.The resort itself was winding down a bit so going in the middle of October has its down side. However the weather was perfect for us being in the low 20s. We had very little rain.What to improve? The TV in the room was poor and the Wi-fi was only available in the reception area and cost about 3 euros an hour.Overall a brilliant holiday and highly recommended.

All of the plaudits given to this hotel are richly deserved with a couple of reservations. The TV badly needs up grading and tv reception is variable at best. Other than the small drawers in the bed-side cabinets there is no drawer space. If the suitcase stand incorporated drawers this would help.The staff are, without exception, very friendly and helpful. I would make a special mention of the Dining Room Manager, who while keeping an eye on the entire, busy operation, also managed to chat to diners. There is a very varied choice of food.The hotel is very clean throughout.Entertainment consists mainly of "tribute" acts, but is none the less very good.Of course there are 4 star hotels offering better amenities, but this is a very comfortable hotel whose staff work hard to provide guests with a pleasant stay and they succeed.
