Fine dining at Ston Easton Park
We planned a dinner at Ston Easton to celebrate our anniversary, having never dined there before. We were blown away by the quality of the food we were served - the combination of flavours and textures was just amazing, the presentation and freshness excellent. The staff were warm, friendly and knowledgeable but also not overbearing.I planned not to have a starter but the chef offered to make me a fresh simple salad, which when it came was gorgeous, a perfect tasty entr¿¿e.We couldn't fault it and wouldn't hesitate to make the trip back for another special occasion.

Lovely
We spent a couple of days at Ston Easton before attending a wedding in bath and despite the weather being terrible (relentless fierce downpours) we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very welcoming and helpful especially the furry 4 legged members of staff :-). The facilities were lovely and full of character exactly what you would expect in an old house. Breakfast was delicious and again the staff were friendly and very efficient. Shame about the weather but definitely worth a visit :-)

Lovely hotel with fantastic staff
This was a great hotel if you like to be treated like lords of the manor! We booked a deluxe room called repton which was huge and had views over the parkland and river. It had the most amazing bathroom with a freestanding slipper bath and twin showers !!The staff were really welcoming and were attentive without being intrusive. We loved oscar the house dog. He is really well behaved and knows where he is not allowed to go ie restaurant or on any furniture. It feel like we were staying with friends but if you are not an animal lover they are more than happy to keep him out of the way. The food is great but the reason I put down an overall score of four was because there was only a choice of al a carte or the taster menu which are both ¿¿49 per head. As we were staying 4 nights it would have been better to offer an alternative menu. This way people are more likely to eat at the hotel more. How ever this did mean that we found some great places to eat within 20mins drive. The location is within easy reach of bath - 25 mins, shepton mallett - 20 mins and well worth a visit is Wells which is about 15 mins.

Relaxing getaway
Stayed for 2 nights in May to celebrate birthday with Secret Escapes.Made to feel very welcome right from our initial booking and found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble.Beautiful building and surrounding, do explore the wonderful kitchen gardens and take Oscar their lovable dog with you. (Beware he hates cats)Food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner.Loved our bedroom as it is individually furnished and not like some corporate hotel chain, but are only complaint was that was tired and needed redecorating.Easy access to Bath and Bristol; good location for visiting Cheddar Gorge, Weston-super-mare and National Trust properties, Lytes Cary Manor, Tyntesfield and Clevedon Court.

Almost Downton Abbey
A fantastic country mansion retaining its family ethos in its role as a hotel. Drawing rooms and dining rooms ooze history and style. You wouldn't know it was a hotel. Once the Rees Mogg family seat, now simply a delight. Expensive but well worth it.
