Good Hotel At A Reasonable Price
I've just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel and was generally quite impressed with the hotel.Yes, the rooms are a little dated, but they are still comfortable and have everything you need. The only thing I will say is that the tiles in the bathroom could do with a clean/re-grout as the corner was all mouldy!Besides from that I couldn't really fault the hotel, the gym/pool/sauna/steam room were all great and breakfast was fantastic. There was a large selection meaning that there was something for everyone.Location wise it's around a 20 minute walk into stourport town and around ¿¿8 in a taxi to bewdley.I would not hesitate to stay here again, should I decide to visit the area in the future.

average hotel
Looks like you get what you pay for. The room was average and service was just as average, not a bad thing though. However the food was lovely! I¿¿¿d go again just to eat at the restaurant. We ate at night and had breakfast. The only part really which let our stay down was the rowdy wedding guests who decided to have a full blown argument outside our room¿¿¿can¿¿¿t blame the hotel though! I would stay again if I were in the area.

Fantastic value last minute get away
Last minute deal via Booking.com for half-board stay over the Bank Holiday weekend - proved to be fantastic value for money. Nice room, with choice of ground or first floor on arrival; which was a little chaotic as the hotel's email system was down & they weren't sure who was arriving! Well handled by Reception staff who couldn't initially book us in, so we partook in afternoon tea in Bewdley instead. A smooth check-in awaited us on our return. Lovely leisure facilities, decent sized gym & pool, which weren't overly busy :) Bit of a challenge to find the Jacuzzi button - look on the wall behind you! We took a bottle of bubbly stuff with us, not liking hotel prices & enjoyed a glass in the sunshine lounging on sun chairs with lovely peaceful views around. Very nice. Our evening meal exceeded all expectations for the deal we were on - 3 courses in the restaurant. French onion soup, slow-cooked beef (which literally melted in the mouth) & sticky toffee pudding - yum,yum & very glad I'd done some exercise first! Very peaceful nights sleep, another session in the gym/pool to burn a few more calories before very nice breakfast buffet, with plentiful choice & variety. Thought the waitress served full english area at the buffet table was a bit of a bottle-neck, make sure you're in the queue together if you want to eat hot food together! Our waiter was also a little eager in clearing our table whilst we were still selecting food at the buffet but no real issue & politely put right.. Took our cappucino's out onto the balcony in the sun & read the papers, all very pleasant bank holiday stuff :) All in all a good mini-break & fantastic value for money - look out for the last minute deals!

Back to the 80s!
NIce location and I had a comfortable nights sleep but its tired and dated - rooms need refurbishing and it looks like hotels I visited in the 80s. Service is either very good or very poor - receptionist was excellent and one waitress looked after me really well when she realised I had been waiting over half an hour to get a table when the restaurant was half empty. The rooms are a good size and comfortable but are of a very average standard - not what I would expect from a four star hotelThe restaurant food was disappointing as well - presented nicely and served quickly but overcooked and smaller portions than I would normally expect. They do a bed, breakfast and evening meal package which is around ¿¿85 and is good value, but the experience could have been much much better!

Not a single complaint
We attended a charity ball on Saturday 4th May. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel staff pulled out all the stops to ensure that the evening went off without a hitch.I have 1 comment and this is not a complaint. The food took a little too long to serve, one table at a time which ment the first table had finished and other tables were served a good while later.Apart from this well done Menzies.
