A very good budget hotel. We stayed two nights and found it to be clean and comfortable. They were very happy to have our dog there and put us on the ground floor which was easy for taking her out. It was surprisingly quiet for a hotel in a busy location, and perfect for visiting Chatsworth, Hardwick Hall etc etc. The breakfast was fantastic value for money. We would stay there again if visiting the area.

We found this hotel excellent for our two day break in Derbyshire. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very quiet and the beds were extremely comfortable. Our rooms were on the third floor. The breakfast was very enjoyable. The staff were friendly and polite . We would definitely return.

Dear Janet,I am sorry to have to complain direct to yourself, but this is what the chap on the front desk told me to do. I booked a twin last week with the Internet package as i require it for work. Everything was fine except the internet and the people providing it. The first room we were allocated was ok, but the internet would not connect so we were moved to 201 where the internet also did not work. I have to state that i knew this would be the case as i could see that we were connected to your network with no problems, but the internet would not connect. This was due to the fact that the DNS would not resolve and NOT as the complete and utter incompetent person on the phone stated that the problem was with my laptop. This excuse might work with people who do not know one end of a network to the other, but as it is my profession then i guess that i do. The Internet company person was incompetent, belligerent and rude, add the that fact that his English was so poor that i had to ask him to repeat himself several times every sentence then maybe you can understand my frustration.I did not need the internet for amusement, I needed it for work. On the second night it worked ok with only a few dropouts, but on Wednesday it was up and down all night ¿¿¿ on the fourth we went through the same rubbish again and it was simply unusable! I have been told that you are changing provider which is great, but i could not work due to the incompetence of the service and service provider and am spending the weekend catching up! Your own staff were great and did all they could to help so thank them for me, but i paid for something i simply did not get and require that to be sorted out please.I have stayed with IBIS all around the world in different Accor hotels and resorts and have never had an issue! I am staying next week from Tuesday to Friday and require assurance that the internet will work properly.Yours sincerelyMark Burrell

Standard IBIS, pretty reasonable, rooms in good order and clean. Breakfast decent. Slight annoyance for a hotel that's billed as a town centre hotel is that the expectation seems to be that everyone gets there by road, as there are no steps or footpath directly onto the pavement outside, so you have to scramble through the bushes as the quickest way to/from the town centre.

We use Ibis regularly in Europe so had no qualms about booking here. Very friendly & helpful staff. Room wasn't as clean as we'd expect - something (beer?) had been splashed over the walls of our room and just left. Unfortunately our stay coincided with at least one stag party in the same venue, so very noisy night and poor sleep - not the hotels fault of course, the bed was very comfy. Road noise was surprisingly very light given the hotels location. One warning - if you are walking into town, be careful of the very un-pedestrian-friendly route.
