Poor service ...and quality of food
Recently returned from this hotel ..how I wish I had believed the reviews before booking..staff...need a course on customer service ..rooms very dated ...first impressions not the most pleasant of odours in reception.....food ....terrible service ...awful presentation..was sitting in restaurant when the people that were mentioned in previous review expressed there unhappiness of quality and service they received which we think was totally within there rights....location of hotel is ideal but I think the group that own it need to seriously take action in all as this hotel could be a great place to stay like other hotels in the group...

Had a great weekend
Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend as a couple. We had booked a dinner bed and breakfast deal.Greeted by very efficient and polite reception staff. Room was in the house nearby. We know this didn't suit everyone being out of the main hotel,but we had a lovely spacious room and recently refurbished bathroom. (Room 410) The hotel pool was a bit of a bonus for when the weather got very rainy. The dining room staff looked after us very well and the manager coped very professionally with a difficult party of guests.Meals were good quality but perhaps would have liked a few more vegetables with dinner.Overall had a pleasant three day break here and would certainly return. Very good value for money.

A little dated but with much potential
We arrived on a Groupon deal so I wasn't expecting a lot but mostly it was OK. We were put into the old Bank House which was really lovely and being separate from the main hotel I reckoned it would be a bit quieter anyway. Everything worked, the room was pleasant and clean enough. Food was OK. Choices were fine but quality was only mediocre.Really appreciated the pool though and it wasn't too busy. Would I pay the full price? Not so sure. There's a premium for being in Pitlochry and I'm not sure this hotel quite deserves it (yet).

Offers potential but sadly fails in key areas
Enjoyed a great value 2 night stay but some things could have been better. Room was roomy and comfortable but cleanliness needs looked at. I found someone's sleep mask & a bottle top behind the bedside cabinet as well as someone's dark hair on the pillow.Dinner was part of the deal but it was truly awful. So bad that despite it being included in our deal, we chose to eat out on the second night. It lacked taste, freshness and presentation. Breakfast was great and spa facilities were too. Perhaps a different cook prepares the breakfast? Although our breakfast pot of tea for three people was so weak and we discovered it only contained one tea bag! Mixed standards throughout which is a shame as the good staff were really good but the lack lustre staff were really poor! Hopefully this is something management can address. The "loch fyne" hotel of the same group is streets ahead. Hopefully this hotel can reach a similar standard as the potential is there.

5 night stay with excellent service.
We stayed here for 5 nights with our 3 children during the Easter holidays. Donald the manager is amazing, very attentive and cannot not to enough for you.We used the pool everyday and the children loved it, the changing rooms could do With a little upgrade if it's a spa like free towels and shampoo and shower gel.The breakfast was Great with plenty of choice for all the family!Sarah on reception also stood as did Sandy too! We would return for sure.
