Good location, good rooms, good price....
My partner and I got a cheap deal on a room here in early January - totally off season, so much so that there were only about 20 people on our flight to Reus (10mins by taxi) and I'm pretty sure on one night we were the only people in the hotel! It is a large modern hotel situated on a major traffic junction to the west of the city. It is situated above the bus station, which is definitely useful for getting around. We ended up walking to the train station (about 25mins) and getting a train into Barcelona for the day, which was a worthwhile trip. The rooms are large and modern, with marble floors and a marble bathroom. Ours was very comfortable and clean, and we had no disturbance from any neighboring rooms. The air conditioning worked well, and we kept the windows closed as there is quite a lot of noise from the traffic junction. The breakfast was good, typical Spanish affair with lots of cold meats and cheeses - we felt that it could have been fresher, although most mornings we were the only people in the place, so I'm not surprised!Overall, a great stay - I would wholeheartedly recommend Tarragona to anyone wanting a quiet, authentically Spanish city break.

Excellent
We stayed for 3 days last week while visiting our daughter and once again our stay was excellent. Our room was clean, spacious and modern and the staff were very polite and helpful. The weather was hot and we managed a few hours each day sunbathing on the roof terrace which we had to ourselves. The location is perfect, prices are reasonable and we wouldn't stay anywhere else when we are in Tarragona.

Great Location, but ............
We stayed here for a week recently and wish to share our experience of our stay, the hotel is very modern, very clean and an excellent location for the exploring Tarragona. It is very handy for the Bus station the Main Concourse of the Bus Station being underneath the Hotel, so ideal for my Wife and I having travelled in from Barcelona Airport on Bus Plana. Our room looked out over on one of the Main Streets and on the 5th floor, as everyone else mentioned did not get hardly any external noise, plus with the tinted windows and curtains very little light came in.I was concerned after booking our hotel, I read some remarks in the 'Rough Guide' to Spain the stated the hotel was impersonal and on our Reception in to the Hotel found the staff very helpful, however that is where it stopped, in staying a week, we did not get a good morning or a hello from any staff throughout our stay. Which I could cope with, but on one morning, we had had a busy day before and planned to have a relaxing day, starting with a lie in, as breakfast went onto 10:30, however we were woken by people talking and laughing on the corridor at around 8am, which disturbed us and this went on, we eventually gave in got up and showered and went down for breakfast at around 9:15, on going out in the corridor we discovered a gourp of people stood across the corridor (blocking our way), with hoovers and cleaning equipment, it appeared the cleaners were being talked to by their manager at the end of the corridor, the manager did not even acknowledge us (she was facing use), or ask her staff to move out of the way, it was only us asking to excuse us, they eventually moved, they did not move any of their equipment, which we also had to negotiate. Again their Manager did not even apologise, and just carried on with her meeting while we negotiated their meeting.Because of the design of the building, which looked very nice, the floors were marble and the corridor walls and doors were all wooded, this design meant that any sound echoed throughout the corridor, hence our experience with the cleaners and additionally if anyone went walking down the corridor, especially wheeling cases, which happened a couple of nights quite late on. Additionally, if anyone in the next room is wearing heels you can hear them walking up and down the room, it echoes, sounds as though they are in the same room, which we had on a couple of nights. One night someone came in at 4 am waking us up as they clicked down the corridor to the room next to us, and then on entering they were walking up and down their room for at least another half an hour.Breakfast as I mentioned had a good window from 07:00 until 10:30 during weekdays and 07:30 until 11:00 at weekends, on our first morning we came down around 09:30 and there appeared a good selection of pastries, rolls, meats etc, the hot breakfast did not look very appertising, and within 5 minutes was whipped away and replaced by the pastries, we found out later in the week that the hot buffet after 09:30 you have to ask the waitress for, which is not a bad option to be honest, for the couple of times I did get a cooked breakfast it was only luke warm. As a couple have mentioned the coffee is not all that good, being from a vending machine, I noticed a few people complaining about this to staff. The Bar downstairs was good, a lot of locals were using this we frequented a few evenings again the staff were not very polite, but the bar was quite reasonably priced wise in comparison with the bars in the town, two glasses of wine for under 4 Euros and a reasonable quality too.I can't say anything about evening meals as we never ate at the hotel, although a couple of nights tables were reserved in the bar downstairs and people were eating evening meals in there, which I note from a couple of comments that if the restaurant was quiet, tables were reserved in the bar, although on a few occasions we followed locals into the hotel who were going for either lunch or a

Good value hotel
We stayed for two nights in this hotel in April and enjoyed our stay very much. Room was spacious and vey clean, food was excellent ( we were half board) but choice is limited so would not want to have been there for a week. Staff were vey helpful and hotel is certainly well placed for walking to the local sights. Car park underneath hotel was also very handy.

Lovely spot
I really enjoyed a one night stay here on a long trip from Southern Spain to Calais. Very helpful and friendly staff. It was easy to find the hotel but didn't know where to stop to check in. In fact just drive up on the pavement outside the hotel. Great underground parking and pet friendly too. Breakfast was ok - coffee not so good though.
