Lovely place- just watch the taxi prices!!
Stayed recently for five nights and no complaints. What an amazing place- amazing building and architecture. Very quiet so not much atmosphere and bar not open to the hours stated in the evenings but then it is still not the holiday season. The villa is a reasonable walk from the town area of Frascati where the shops, restaurants etc are. Plenty of steep hills so you need to be good on the feet!! In saying that the hotel has a courtesy coach to the towns train station and back at regular intervals. This was both a business and pleasure trip and was a lovely few days. The bedrooms are compact but cosy; the bed was lovely and we slept well. We took a Charme De Luxe room and the views over Rome, especially at night, were stunning.Great breakfast at floor -2. Lunch and dinner both quite expensive in comparison to the options in the Frascati area but worth it as a treat.Clean, lovely staff, amazing place- go try it.One word of warning- if you do use the taxi service from the hotels front desk check prices!! Can be a bit of a swizz so check and agree prices, get a number to call for the return journey but only pay for the journey not the return trip as you may find the taxi at your destination will give a better price to take you back!

Beautiful Stay
What a beautiful hotel. Visiually it was stunning. We were lucky when we arrived as well as the sun was shining so we spent the afternoon in the garden. The waiter was on hand to serve drinks and the atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxed. The rooms themselves were quite basic. We couldn't figure out the air conditioning but apart from that it was fine. There wasn't an iron or kettle etc. so, as mentioned it was basic. Breakfast was nice. The same each day and not the biggest selection to chose from but it was nice. We were also lucky one evening that a guest played the piano in the bar which was really lovely. The staff were really helpful and as the hotel was outside of Frascati, the hotel put a free shuttle bus on which was great.

We really liked this hotel!
We were really impressed with this hotel! Great history and beautiful location with fantastic views of Rome! Friendly check-in and they were eager to accomodate. We stayed for two nights at the end of our Italy visit and headed to Rome to catch the most we could in one day. Shuttle drops you at the train station and picks up also (had a bit of a issue with pickup, but worked out ok). Ate dinner at the restaurant two nights and very good and very friendly and nice service. Breakfast was nice too and good selection. Rooms were spotless and had all necessary ammenities. Room was small by US standards but good size by European standards. Lots of character in buildings and grounds were perfectly maintained. They look like they cater to tourists as well as small/medium business meetings. Would be a great place to host a meeting!

nice hotel
This was our first hotel on our "groupon" Italy vacation. This hotel is very hard to find,. Be sure to get a GPS before trying to drive in Italy. This hotel is located near the subway station. We took the subway into the Vatican.The staff was very helpful and very friendly. They assisted with our baggage, directions and general knowledge of the area. We wanted to try the restaurant, but just couldn't get back to the hotel before the restaurant closed.The room was very clean, and they provided an adequate supply of soft towels and bathroom toileties. We realized after our third hotel visit in Italy, that the hotels in Italy do not provide wash cloths. this was something to get used to.The view from our window was great. It was a nice quiet hotel was nice scenery overlooking Rome.

Great spot, great building
A really impressive building and location sadly spoilt by a lack of visitors and therefore devoid of atmosphere. Staff were helpful and enthusiastic but were so limited in number due to lack of business, it was sometimes hard to find anyone. Having said that, the common rooms and bedrooms were spotlessly clean.Maybe it was the time of year of our visit - mid March. It would be good to see the place when the season picks up.We genuinely hope the place has a pick up in business as the views and location aught not to be lost to travelling souls. Also, its proximity to the centre of Rome (30 minutes drive) means you are able to stay outside of the busy city but still commute for the sightseeing.The immediate area had little to commend it so far as sightseeing is concerned. Even the relatively nearby Castel Gandolfo was closed to visitors on account of a retired German chap having moved in.
