The hotel has very good facilities, excellent staff and service! They went out of their way to help me. Rooms have all amenities, even though they are old but thats the charm...the classy touch! Good value for money! Try and get a room with a view of the chateaux. Plenty of good restos n bars within walking distance.

Expected more
While the Pullman Versailles is in a great location, only a few hundred feet from the Versailles castle/chateau, there were several issues I had during my stay. The shower/bathtub is so narrow and sharply angled; this is an accident just waiting to happen. The base of the bathtub, where you stand, is very narrow with sharply sloping sides, making it a hazard to move in the shower, in addition, the top of the tub is so high from the bathroom floor, anyone with any degree of mobility issue could easily fall stepping out of the bathtub/shower. Another pet peeve of mine is the shallow closets, where when you remove an article of clothing off of a hanger, the wood hanger swings and hits the back of the closet, making a terrible racket at 5am, or anytime. I question if management has ever used these showers and even stayed a night in these rooms. Also, and this is the worse situation, I came back to my room after a long day of work to find my door leading to the exterior balcony was left unlocked and open by housekeeping. What makes this bad is that the exterior balcony is accessible by other rooms. I went to the lobby and alerted security/reception of this issue, gave them my room number, told them how concerned I was with this lapse of security and I never heard back from them ¿¿¿ nothing! This is an unacceptable situation and NO effort was made to contact me to re-assure me this would never happen again. For the price paid for a standard room ($343 USD for some of the nights), I want complete security and not cheap closets and dangerous bathrooms.

Very nice hotel close the Versailles castle
Not cheap but very nice hotel right next to the Versailles castle. Excellent restaurant and breakfast. Comfortable bed, friendly staff, and a quiet room for a good night's rest. Definetely recommended.

Inconsistent with Pullman brand
Let's start with the bad stuff. The rooms were chintzy which is inconsistent with the modern design of the lobby. The bathroom badly designed, the toilet was in a separate room which felt more consistent with a youth hostel (e.g. tin toilet paper holder, cheap toilet seat) and the roof was so low that the shower had to go up into a space in the roof above the bath to enable it to fit. The carpets were of a low quality and there was sticky tape holding the wallpaper on the corner of the bedroom. The nespresso machine (good amenity) only had 3 different types of capsule - 1 decaf, 1 espresso, 1 lungo. So if the 2 guests staying in the room both wanted a long coffee then you couldn't. I know capsules are expensive and this goes straight to the bottom line, but guests at this type of hotel have these things at home and expect to be able to use them as we do at home. (The last day this end up as 1 decaf and 1 lungo, now really ...)On the plus side. Service is excellent. The location a mere 500m to Chateau de Versailles. The bed was very, very comfortable despite being 2 singles pushed together.The property looks like a reasonably new build so it is incredible that some of the structure (e.g the bathroom) is so bad. Additionally the property needs a hard refurbishment to get it up to the modern standards of the Pullman brand. For the money, stay in the Ibis next door.

Lovely Stay - Highly Recommended
I booked to stay here for 4 nights with my Mother. We drove in to Versailles just as the heavens opened with torrential rain. The SatNav guided us to the hotel, but it is easy to miss the turn. I'd stayed here before so remembered they have an underground car park, however I could not remember how to get to it. So I parked up in the main road near the hotel and made a dash for the hotel reception. I was greeted by the receptionist and the Concierge who both spoke perfect English. The concierge offered to go and fetch our car from where I'd left it, however I declined and instead was given instructions on how to gain access, and a very welcome umbrella.Check in was very smooth and quick, I didn't even need to give my name, we must have been the only British pair checking in. The receptionist provided us with a guide book and showed us on the map, the location of some good restaurants.Our room was a comfortably-sized Superior twin, with Mini-Bar (complimentary still and sparkling water provided). There was a kettle with tea and coffee provided (a surprise to me as I wasn't expecting this facility in a French hotel). Beds were comfortable, and the bathroom had a full range of toiletries.The general state of the room was good, there was some paint peeling on the bathroom wall/ceiling but the sort of fair wear and tear you expect in a busy hotel. The room was well cleaned and serviced throughout our stay. The lights in the vestibule of our room didn't work when we arrived, but they were fixed a day later after I reported it to reception.The first night we eat in the hotel restaurant. The food was of a very high standard, with lovely presentation, and generous portions. We had 3 courses that came to ¿¿¿130 but that included a gin & tonic. We thought the cost of the meal was reflected in what was served.Breakfast was included in our package. There was a very large choice of food available, starting with the usual selection of breads and pastries, cold meats, cheese, cereals and yogurts, and freshly squeezed orange or grapefruit juice. However there was also some lovely smoked bacon, sausages, mushrooms and gorgeously creamy scrambled eggs.Coffee was served at the table, and if you asked for tea they had a large variety of different teas, including English Breakfast.The hotel is excellently located within site of Chateau de Versailes, and across the road from a railway station (20 minutes to Paris).I shall definitely be returning to stay again.
