Awful
What a terrible place. Really, what do we want from a hotel? Comfort and cleanliness, that's all. But one doesn't get that at Urbis. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable, lumpy, sagging. Linens smell sour. Luckily, I had two beds in the room, and the other one seemed to have clean linens, but the proximity to the other bed still made me gag. I was afraid to ask them to change linens for fear they will put on something worse. The floors were okay, but the paint was peeling off the walls. Really. A giant chunk above my bed, just waiting to fall down. I've seen nicer youth hostels. The bathroom was barely passable; toiletries were fine and sink seemed clean but black mold in the tub? With a hand-held shower limply hanging over the faucet? I didn't dare use it. And really, does anyone use a bidet these days? Here it was, prominently positioned between the suspect toilet and the sink. Why, why, why? Needless today, the decor was limited to the peeling paint; the TV ran parallel to the bed and was impossible to watch; wifi free but very spotty. Last night and day the entire place smelled of sewage. The elevator leading to the third floor is fine; friends stayed on the fourth floor, and their (special) elevator was like the stuff of nightmares: tiny, dark, scary. I am giving it two stars instead of one, because the staff was very helpful on the last say of our stay (first day they alternated between staring blankly at the visitors and manic activity), the breakfast was fine, the hotel is conveniently located (although paper-thin walls do let is drunken noise both from within and without the hotel), and the director has a great giant mustache and a sense of humor. But spare yourself this hideousness, and stay somewhere else. Somewhere clean.

Very tiny rooms..
We booked a room with 4 beds, but actually it was a room for 2 and they just cramed two other beds into the room so the room was very tiny for the for of us. It was impossible to stay in even for one evening since it was so small, there were no space at all except for the bathroom which was bigger.. We felt like we paid too much for it since it was a room for 2 transformed into a room for 4 people.The television were not working at all. The atmosphere is kind of dead.

Average hotel...OK experience
Hotel Urbis Centre is well located in the heart of Tarragona, with nearby parking and touristic spots. We chose this hotel as it is only 12 Km away from Port Aventura Park (convenient and cheaper option). We did not expect too much for one night - Our room was clean but outdated, staff is polite. There is no extra, no particular atmosphere, nor "wow" in this hotel. I think it is fine for a one night stay with a late check-out.

Don¿¿t stay in this hotel
We stayed 3 nights in Urbis Centre. I chose it because its location but it turned out a wrong decision. It¿¿s next to the central market (just 5 metres), so from early morning we were woken up by the noises from the street (people and cars, as there is a parking exit just in front of the hotel). In the everning it¿¿s imposible to sleep either. There might be some night club nearby so until 3 0 4 am we can hear groups of drunk young men yelling and singing down by your window. My wife couldn¿¿t sleep all the first two nights and we had to ask if they could change a room for us. But the direct was so rude that he told us it was imposible and if we couldn¿¿t sleep it was our problem!!! The staff wasn¿¿t more helpful. When we tried to ask the way to get to some touristic spot, the male receptionist got very impatient and showed no good attitude.What a terrible exprience! We have be travelling every summer in Europe since 6 years ago and this hotel is definitely the worst. Never stay there!!!

Great location
We only stayed for one night however the hotel was perfect. Clean and comfortable. It is also located on the middle of Tarragona near everything. We paid almost nothing for 4 of us. We also took the breakfast for 20 euro, 5 each. Really enjoyed the coffee eggs and bacon. Fresh pastries and juice. Strongly suggest it!
