First of all, the website says twice "free wifi" It even says that it is available in all areas and free of charge. This is a straight lie. It's available for 30 minutes in the lobby only. If you want it in your room it's 5 euros a day. I don't get why they say something on their front page that isn't true. Second, if you want to call to talk to somebody, you have to call a 900-number which is very expensive from cell phones and most other lines in Spain. Third - and worst of all - the front office staff are incredibly rude. When we first arrived, my 75-year old parents had just finished a nearly 18-hour journey from California to come visit us as we live in Tarragona. The receptionist was on the phone, apparently chatting. She clearly saw us and didn't attend us. This lasted for almost 8 minutes. There was another clerk sitting in the office where I could see him. When I asked him if he could help us instead of the only woman in the front, she immediately ended her call and (10 minutes later) gave us the keys to our room. Almost 20 minutes and we were the only ones checking in at that time. Insane! The staff was unfriendly the rest of the time as well. Leaves much to be desired. The rooms, however, have amazing views and it couldn't be in a better location. Pity that the staff doesn't seem to care about the clients.

After spending several trips at this hotel I have now had enough. Rude and poor service and the standard is worse than ever. There are plenty to chose from in Tarragona that are better. This time I had booked the most expensive room alternative and asked for a newly renovated rooms. I got an "upgrade" to a suite that was hopelessly dated and should be used for storage... I will never stay at this establishment again!

Overlooking the sea with a view of the amphitheatre, with the old town to one side and the shopping area to the other this hotel could not have been better located.The room was adequate and the breakfast included cooked items, a pleasant surprise for a spanish hotel.

This is a rather classic hotel in Tarragona, probably not the newest, not the most comfortable but the view in the rooms facing the Mediterranean Sea pays for it, the sunset from the balcony is a worth spectacle, Indeed, breakfast buffet is very good. Some weak points, parking is 11 extra ¿¿¿ per day, internet is not included and rooms and bathroom need some remodeling.

I paid ¿¿120 for three nights B&B in January - which I thought pretty good for a four-star - and it kind of was. Rooms were large, clean and comfortable with a spectacular balcony view overlooking the beach and the Roman amphitheatre. The location is great - two minutes walk to the bars and restaurants of the charming old town. Free entry to the casino is a laugh, though Casino Royal it aint.The bad news is that the staff are efficient but dull and unfriendly. The whole place is a bit soulless, and though my bathroom was pretty good, some rooms could do with decorating. Breakfast was similarly dull and some of it wasn't up to much. Not much hot stuff, poor bacon ham, cheese and cereal. Stick to bread and fruit. Trying to make tea is a disaster - a sclerotic machine makes a horrid buzzy noise and then spits calcified water onto a stale Liptons teabag. The execrable result was absolutely the worst 'tea' I've ever had - and speaking as one who had just had a Ryanair 'tea' which tasted of cheap instant coffee that's saying something.
