Does the job!
Stayed a this hotel for 1 night to visit the local area. The location of the hotel is perfect for visiting the funicular railway and nearby aviemore. We also visited the highland safari park which wasn't too far away. The hotel did the job for a 1 night stopover. Yes, the rooms are dated and a little rough around the edges but they provide you with everything you need. However, the stale smell in the stairwells is not great and could surely be easily fixed. Breakfast was great! There was a wonderful variety and everything was fresh and hot. There was even a waffle iron! The service at breakfast was not great-slow and VERY robotic. Pool facilities were ok-again in need of a revamp. The hotel seems like it would be great for families and kids. Good hotel if you get it at a good price.

excellent weekend away
my wife and I stayed here at the start of june and had booked for dinner bed and breakfast, at the cost of ¿¿75 I didn't expect it to be much, wrong,,, upon arriving we were greeted by very polite and happy staff check in was fast we asked a few questions then went to book a slot for dinner, we decided to eat in the inverdruie although both menus offered a very good choice for dinner, and then went to put our stuff in the room, fair enough the carpet on the stairs looked a bit dated but its only for walking on you aint eating dinner off it, we were on the second floor upon entering room it seemed nice, there was information on the local area and a nice big tv, a nice spacious bathroom and a cosy bed (I struggle to sleep but I did enjoy the time I did) room was nice and warm on arrival so off with the heat and windows open as I like a nice cold room, we went for dinner at 7.30, the lady gave us a nice table and was very polite and helpful in helping us choose what to eat, when our food started to arrive presentation was fantastic and tasted fresh which was good. we took a stroll around in the evening and then retired to our room, next morning got up went for breakfast and there was a very big choice, we went and picked and came back a member of staff poured us orange juice and coffee. overall staff very friendly nice choice of areas for drinks or dining in the hotel room was very nice (bearing in mind its mainly for sleeping), only thing I thought might be good to change is the paint colour of the stairs to make it a bit brighter but would def stay again

Great Holiday
We spent 4 nights at Hilton Coylumbridge and had a great time. Breakfast and dinners were lovely. We used the pool everyday-kids loved it. There is also a great play park for them too. Rooms clean and comfortable. Good base to see attractions around aviemore.

Hotel good for families, but not up to normal Hilton standard
Hotel is well located in the Cairngorms with lots of local activities. Neat and clean with very good facilities for families, particularly younger ones. Food quality is very good by normal hotel standards. However decor and service not upto normal Hilton expectations. No lift, so be warned if you have luggage and are staying on the upper floors. No help provided with luggage at checkin or checkout-unacceptable. Concierge service not the most visible.

Great Staff, great location
Set amidst the stunning Rothiemurchus forest with easy access to a host of outdoor activities this is a very family friendly hotel. That said I was with friends with not children and we very much enjoyed our stay made especially goo by the quality of the staff who without exception were friendly, accomodating and helpful. The hotel has been around for a while so architecturally is dated but the breakfast was fantastic. My main gripe was having a room right above some generators which kicked in early and woke me up. Asides from that the tennis courts need resurfaced but the location is wonderful.
