Great Weekend
I stayed here with 5 friends for the all - inclusive deal. The food was good value for money with great overall service and attentive staff. The hotel is ideally located for Manchester shopping, and the nearby village of Hail is delightful with many places to eat and drink. Good fun for a crowd.

Great for airport parking
Just arrived at the hotel and considering the cost it's not a bad hotel at all. For ¿¿70 I'm getting one night in the hotel plus 7 nights parking in the long stay parking at terminal 2 Manchester airport which is about three miles away. The room is clean and well equipped, if a little small. The reception area and bar are modern and the food and drinks at the bar are fairly priced. The staff are all really pleasant and I love the slightly sexist women only parking spaces. I might be wrong but I could swear they are slightly wider to compensate for my rubbish parking!! The hotel is in a very nice part of altrincham and is not far from the main high street where there are plenty of bars and restaurants to chose from, as we have a 6am flight tomorrow we'll be sticking to the bar in the hotel though. I always like and trust the mercure brand and this hotel is no exception. I'll definitely stay here next time I fly from Manchester airport.

Good base for Manchester Area
Clean and tidy, the room was an ideal base for our visit to the Manchester area.The room was compact, but not small.Breakfast was self service, but good choice and quality - regularly replenished too!All major sites only a short drive away and easy to find. Trafford centre for example was 20 mins, as was Manchester town centre.Would stay again and hopefully get to utilise the pool/sauna this time7.5/10 - good base!!

A perfect start to our holiday
We were really impressed with all aspects of our stay. The receptionist Maria was very friendly and helpful. Once we had checked in we went to the spa for a chill out, the guy's ( Chris and Matt) were very welcoming and we had a laugh and chat with them. We had per booked a meal in the restaurant and was expecting a basic menu but we were wrong. David the duty manager was very welcoming and the food was excellent. We had vegetable soup & cray& prawn cocktail for starter the main we had seared sea bass with Mediterranean vegetables and dessert was cheesecake and choc brownie with ice cream we couldn't fault it. Will defiantly stay here again. Well done to all the staff

Very impressed with our stay
We came here as a stopover on the way to Manchester Airport, getting a good deal for leaving our car here and our stay combined with a return taxi drive in the price. The room was a good size, free wifi is useful and the location is excellent, in a very upmarket area with plenty of nice restaurants and bars within a short walk from the hotel. Wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again if we were travelling from Manchester Airport again.
