excellent location
I usually stay in more upmarket hotels but I chose this one for the location and stayed 2 nights. It is about as close to Goat Island and the Falls as you can get (it has a big car park too which might mean drivers will save on parking costs ($8 on Goat Island just yards away) - but I did not park a car in the car park so you would have to double check that parking charges are included). I took the train from New York that arrived in the evening at Niagara Falls Amtrak station which is very small and closes at 4.30 in the afternoon. Hotel is about 3 miles from the station and I was able to get a taxi. All of the staff that I came into contact with at the hotel are absolutely FANTASTIC - incredibly helpful and friendly. The restaurant could do with re-decorating and it was deserted but the service was excellent and friendly and food was very good indeed. Lifts were a bit tatty but they worked ok. My room was spotlessly clean with a very good bathroom, an EXTREMELY comfortable bed, coffee maker, fridge and a comfortable leather armchair, (non-smoking with 2 queen size beds). It was on the 6th floor and I could see the American Rapids and the mist from the falls from my bedroom window. The only thing that let the room down was a cheap mock wood floor that was lifting in places and also the air conditioner was noisy but these 2 things did not spoil my stay. One side of the hotel has rooms with a view towards the falls from the higher floors but I suspect that the other side has town views. Niagara Falls town is not worth visiting unless you like gambling but the actual Niagara Falls are spectacular and well worth the journey and this hotel is in a perfect location for access to the Falls. You will read everywhere that the best view of the falls is on the Canadian side but actually you can walk over the Rainbow bridge into Canada very easily and quickly (my British passport gave me very easy access to Canada and back to the USA - just a 50 cent bridge toll). I did not use the hotel swimming pool but it is in a large sort of foyer with a fence around it and the setting seemed a bit strange but it did look clean and there were plenty of towels. In conclusion - it was ok - not top end luxury but convenient location and very clean and the staff were particularly welcoming

Way over price for what they are/have
It is truth that this place is cheap, all though another places in the same area are hd of the price. I have stay in other holiday inn before and they were terrific but this one had a bad smell even on the elevator. The staff was ok and their location was perfect .

Travellers Beware
I recently stayed at this hotel for an old-timers hockey tournament. While out for the day with my husband and daughter my room was cleaned by the hotel staff, who politely helped themselves to my jewellery. When the hotel was contacted I was told to call the police and claim it on my insurance. I have contacted the police and to my surprise, they were not surprised at all.Elevators are questionable, staff are not engaged, milk from the cafe was old and turned to lumps when poured into my tea.....I have been a Priority Club member since 1999 and this means nothing to this hotel management team, to the IHG rewards platform or the Owner.Travellers beware.

Excellent location. Good hotel for short stay
The hotel is in excellent location maybe about 100 yard to the entrance of Niagara Falls Park on Goat island. It is 7 to 10 minutes walking distance to the falls themselves. It has free parking. So you can leave your car in the hotel, and easily walk to the falls. There is also free wifi in the rooms, and public areas. The room/bathroom are adequate, roomy, quite and clean. From the window of my room, I could easily see the Niagara River.The service was very good. The breakfast buffet was OK, but not exciting. If I were to return to Niagara Falls, I would probably choose this hotel again.

Great stay
The staff couldn't have been more pleasant, professional and helpful. The rooms and suites were clean and attractive. The only negative was that the indoor pool was being updated during our stay so we couldn't use it, but they did give us a pass to swim at their sister hotel a few miles away.
