As rock-n-roll cliched as a Vegas hotel should be!
We stayed at Hard Rock on a road trip cross country. My husband and two kids had never been to Vegas and I was excited for them to experience the sensory overload. We got to the strip and I threw out my hand, as if I had created the place. "Look! Can you believe it!?" They looked at the strip, and then 6 pairs of eyes ranging in age from 6 to 40 looked back at me unimpressed. "That's it?" My son demanded. A jaded New Yorker and he hadn't even turned 9. When we got to the Hard Rock it was a totally different story. The hotel is huge... Like a city kind of huge. The pool is a beach, with sand, and a bar that you can swim to for a cocktail. There's an amazing water slide that catapults you through a black womb-like moment and ejects you into a pool down below. The rooms are the size of nice apartments in Manhattan with more comfortable beds, and beautiful black and white pictures of Janis, Jimi and Mick everywhere. Forget the strip. You can stay in Hard Rock City and have the Vegas experience in a very nicely presented, comfortable nutshell... And there's enough over-the-top-ness (did I mention the pool is production designed like a BEACH with SAND and bar?) to feel like you're in a video game you can't stop playing but can't wait to turn off.

really a hard "rock"
Dont waste your money. Even the super 8 here is nicer. Made reservation a couple of wks in advance, needed a rm with 2 beds. Had a writen confirmation that the rm had 2 beds. called the day of arrival and was given a verbal assurance that the rm would have 2 beds and that it would be held for me. i was flying in on a late flight.Arrived, rn had been sold. given a suite with 1 king instead. i am sure they thought they were being nice but i needed 2 beds. I guess one of us was suppose to sleep on the couch.finally said that they could do a rollaway. housekeeping stop about 10 mins later stated they were removing a rollaway. told them they were suppose to deliver one. waited for over an hr. finally called housekeeping and was told i would be charged for the rollaway. called registration who called housekeeping and at 2:30 the bed finally arrives, twin bed standing on headboard. housekeeping stated that he doesnt set them it up, we had to.thank goodness i only booked one night.

Perfect Hotel for me!
I'm currently staying at Hard Rock, and let me start off by saying I never write reviews. I'm extremely happy with my room in the Paradise Tower. Hands down the most amazing room I've ever stayed in. Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The staff has been nothing but friendly and accommodating. I'm digging the crowd here as well. Right up my alley as a 29 year old girl. Had dinner at FU ( the Asian restaurant ) and it was really good. I locked myself out of my room and needed a new key. They were very cool about it. The location isn't prime, but it is very close to the airport so I was the first one to be dropped off from the shuttle which contained a lot of people : )I'm so happy I chose Hard Rock. Very cool hotel, awesome rooms, amazing beds and great staff all around.

Supercross Weekend
Stayed there over the weekend with my wife, and enjoyed it. The place was full of supercross riders, and we got to schmooze with them a little bit, which was cool. Our original booked king deluxe was not available so we were "upgraded to the recently renovated original tower". The room looked to be pretty standard to me (Although it was nice) compared to my friends who were treated to a jacuzzi and granite and a whole bunch of amenities they made sure to brag about. The beds are by far the most comfortable of any hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff is awesome! The friendliest people we have ever met, and incredibly helpful. (Vegas hospitality). The walk to the strip is easy, or catch a cab. We caught the poolside Chevelle concert from our balcony which was sweet. We never used any of the resort perks, Spa, Gym, Pool. It was our first time in Vegas so we took in the city instead and just ran out of time. The pool area is crazy and the Sunday Rehab party looked insane. We didn't go as originally planned, as it was packed to the brim and got shutdown. The casino is very cool, and you can spend half of your time wandering around and looking at memorabilia. The food is tasty, and Culinary Dropout offers posh outdoor seating to view the pool party. Last but not least, THIS IS A PARTY HOTEL. It's where the cool crowds gather and RAGE! (elevator parties are evidence) If that isn't your scene and you don't have a sense of humor, you might want to try a different place. If you like to get after it, then stay here.

Best place to party if you're under 35
The crowd here is the best, it definitely caters to a younger more party minded clientele. We were here for a bachelor party and it seemed like every guest in the place was in their mid twenties, with gorgeous women walking around headed to and from the pools at all times. The casino floor itself is pretty small and not well laid out, so if you are here to gamble all day in a huge casino you might want to head to the strip. Our mindset was "party first and second, and gamble in between" which seemed to mesh well with the Hard Rock. Plus all the main indoor areas are always playing some of the best music around. It's almost worth it to just chill one of the casino bars and listen to the music while watching the eye candy go by.One of the only problems is that you are located a little ways from the strip so to go anywhere it was at least a $10 cab ride plus tip. It wasn't a big deal to us but its something to think about if you want to go all over the city. Most of the guests are really friendly, which is nice. Since everyone is here to party and have a good time you'll strike up conversations and become friends with almost anyone you bump into. So if you and a friend come out here you'll be partying in a group of 20 or more before you know it.The Hard Rock is first and foremost a party place, so if that's not your scene don't bother making a reservation here. But if you are young, want to party, aren't gonna complain about the music like an old grandpa, or are a bachelor/bachelorette party then this is the place to stay and play. After staying 4 nights in May we are already planning our next trip out in November.
