Value for money and very comfortable
Stayed two nights May 2013. Positives: On arrival we asked for a higher floor (we'd been allocated a 1st floor) and were given a choice of 3rd with a balcony or 5th without and were able to view both. We chose former. Far bigger than we needed as a couple - lounge, bed, kit, balcony, bathroom with shower and bath plus separate wc. Overall clean and the bedding very comfortable.The staff couldn't have been more helpful - gave advice on eating out / takeaways / travelling around and let us leave our bags in reception after check out time on the second day until the early evening, after we'd been out for the day. It's around a 600 m walk / ten min / to the nearest metro, so providing you are up for that and have a hat / sun screen at this time of year, no need to pay out for a taxi. Lots of people did so. Shuttle service to main attractions is a plus. Breakfast was absolutely fine - European, Indian and Chinese food on offer. Pool excellent and well managed. Gym looked very good and well equipped - wish I'd had more time.Two minor negatives: apartment had vague smell smokey smell and balcony support wobbled slightly although was quite safe.Book with confidence - you'll get exactly what it says it is and what it looks like in the pics.

Worth choosing
I have stayed at this Hotel on four separate occasions now but this is the first time I've reviewed it. The most recent was a 13 night stay with my partner and 16 month old son in April/May.Couple of negative events to start with.A couple of Kitchen cupboards, worktops and sink was overrun with crawling aints, fortunately we could isolate these from ours and the babies food. The first couple of days the housekeeping simply wiped them away. On the forth day I complained to the manager and except to say a very small number, the aints had been removed for the rest of our stay. A follow up asking how it was or returning to some modest acknowledgement e.g flowers or bowl of fruit would have been welcome (especially given their good customer services in so many areas of the hotel). There wasn't anything to suggest the room wasn't being kept clean. On the contrary housekeeping kept the apartment very clean and carpets etc in the communal areas were subject to constant cleaning. The second negative had been us waking to the hotel having to be evacuated late one evening due to a fire. There was much confusion for a few hours while we had to wait on the pavement outside the hotel unprepared and half dressed and with our baby son. We stayed on the top floor but not sure the extent of the fire (understand it was somewhere above us in plant room or such like). After a few hours people were allowed back in the hotel but the smoke smell was so strong, despite all the air-fresheners etc, we weren't prepared to let our son inhale such fumes all night so checked in to an adjacent hotel for the night at considerable expense to us at some 4 times the cost. Winchester was much better value.I fully appreciate on the night the Hotel's staff worked very hard to get the hotel reopened and the night staff worked tireleessly. It was disappointing though that in the following days there was no attempt to explain what had happened either by way of a note through the door or posters explaining and apologizing for the inconvenience. The Hotel supervisor was aware of the cost we incurred in staying the night at another Hotel but as yet has not made an offer to compensate us.Other than the above, the Hotel's customer service and staff friendliness was second to none. Check-in was smooth. The request we had made on our booking regarding room location etc had been met on arrival. The first room had (we only booked a studio first night) a fantastic balcony with a great view of Burj Kalifa etc. The second apartment was spacious, well-equipped and had a massive balcony for our son to play safely. We were able to watch him through the full height french doors in both the bedroom and living room. Full size kitchen with full cooker is a plus for Dubai as most have two ring hob. We had a full bathroom with both bath and shower. Sure it was a bit worn here and there but nothing of any significance. Both dining and sleeping areas are massive with full-size dining table.The housekeeping staff were very flexible in cleaning the room and on most occasions waited until the early evening at our request, having provided clean towels in between. The room was kept to a very clean standard. Good supply of Coffee, milk etc. Good range of satellite tv channels including, free movie channels, BBC and Sky News. TV in both rooms. The guy who manages the pool and gym can't do enough to help and keeps the area safe and tidy. As is the driver who does the shuttle to the beach helpful, friendly and courteous.Despite the number of hotels I have stayed in Dubai I can say with certainty that on this occasion the staff here are the most friendly and helpful I have ever known (prior to and after the fire). They constantly made a fuss of our son letting him run wild with their reception computers, playing with him and generally being very very customer focused in all areas. Overall given the above I would put the Hotel at average to good on this occasion. I would stay at the hotel again and in

ecellent location ;overall Value for money property
Stayed for 3 nights in a studio room as a couple;nice neat and clean room;well equipped kitchen with washing machine and microwave.Jyothi supermarket is 2 min walk;centrally located near to all amenities in the Karama area.Downside is no room service.Will definitely visit again.

Good value for money
The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The hotel was about a ten minute walk from Al Karama metro station. The hotel also provide a shuttle service to Dubai Mall, Jumera beach and Meena Bazar which was great. There is a supermarket close to the hotel which is useful for every day essentials. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen had all the equipment required. In the bathroom a hair dryer is also provided which is very useful. I would definatley stay there again with any hesitation.

Lovely hotel
We had huge apartment (60m2) on the 5th floor with lovely view! Hotel is just 10min walk from metro station, local shops and restaurants are very close and open till late. Staff is very friendly and helpful and housekeeping`s every morning doing great job. Swiming pool on the roof is just perfect for relax! Thanks for a great holidays!
