Reliable and convenient
I needed somewhere to stay last minute in Clapham. This was very affordable, close to the Clapham South Tube Station and a cheerful service. I had a double bed, clean white sheets, good mattress, TV and en-suite. It was very comfortable and I was pleasantly surprised considering how much I paid. The breakfast was a basic Continental spread (milk, cereal, juice, toast, spreads, tea/coffee). I have stayed here twice now- once on my own, and another time with a friend, and would definitely go again.

solid place away from the center of london
Clapham does not have the best reputation, but I booked this hotel because I wanted to stay outside central and explore more of the city. The area was excellent, there is a giant park across the street, decent takeout, and the tube station and bus area is outside the door. The hotel itself was clean, I stayed on the top floor in a single room. Had a clean bathroom and decent bed, the internet would pop off every now and then, but I was on the top floor. If you are looking for a place away from the center and want to save some money, I would book here again.

Cheap and cheerful
I have stayed at the Euro Lodge once and twice recommended friends to do so. The hotel is situated on the east side of Clapham Common very close to Clapham South tube station. The accommodation is quite basic but we had a room with its own shower and WC and the room was perfectly comfortable. Breakfast, again, was quite basic and consisted of cereal and toast. As a base for exploring London I can recommend Euro Lodge and would use it again. It is good value for money.

Hotel with great prices and easy access to central london
Booked this hotel as the price was reasonable and close to central london.Was not expecting anything fancy, but the hotel was clean and tidy. Check in staff were helpful but over worked in my opinion. Had a 20 minute wait for room cleaning to finish. Was offered a drink whilst waiting for the room. Room was small. with plenty of hot water. Sheets/towels were changed everyday and shower/heating good(It was really cold!!) There was a flat sccreen TV in the room. Remote didn't work but all controls were on the TV anyway. Breakfast was tea coffee orange juice toast and cereal. As Tesco was close to the hotel I took a yoghurt/quiche in with me to add to the breakfast!! There was a microwave in the breakfast room, but I didn't use it.Hotel was a short walk from the tube(Clapham South) and there were plenty of restaurants locally if you wanted a bite to eat after a long day exploring London. Some restaurants were offering cheap deals to entice customers in. I didn't use them but would have on another occassion. I went to Brick lane for an evening meal and found City Spice Restaurant excellent, 2 courses and a drink(wine beer/softies) for ¿¿12.I also bought a day transport ticket for ¿¿7(approx) This was for as many trips on the tube/bus as you want. They are obtainable at Clapham South from a machine. Station also has an attendant to help you(Don't know their hrs of work!!)To Finish. If you want somewhere with a doorman etc this is not the place for you. If you want a cheap and cheerful then this is for you. For anyone exploring London all day and returning at night to sleep 8 hours before starting the next day this is an ideal spot.
