Basic stay in Barcelona
The location is fantastic! It's just downtown with a young touch yet in a tranquil area full of small and cheap bar or restaurants. You can reach everywhere from this hotel. It's actually too basic. You even have to pay a deposit to watch TV.Bad smell from the bathrooms tubes. Bathset too is too basic.

Great value
I shall be staying here in May (my fourth visit to the hotel in the last couple of years). I have never had any problems at any time when I have stayed here. Staff are really helpful and friendly. If you want somewhere in central Barcelona that is cheap, clean and friendly then I would recommend that you stay here. If you want Ritz like facilities, then I suggest that you stay at the Ritz.

Brilliant for the price!
It's a basic hostel, so you get what you pay for,but what you do pay for is good! The seceratary, Agata, is now my friend and is very friendly and will help you with anything you need: bus times, bus stops, bus fares, metro lines ( which are quite confusing !), metro fares, the cheapest way to the airport..everything. It's in a great location, bang in the centre of the city. I've stayed there twice now, once with my mother and once with my boyfriend ( and we stayed in the matrimonial suite which was fab). I would highly recommend it! The only downside is there is a local man that likes to sing 'Cucuchuuurrroooo' whenever he likes, but despite that, it's the place to stay if you're going to Barcelona.

It's a great hotel....friendly staffs...great location..it would be nice if there was a kettle and some cups in the room, as i love tea had to go to the cafe everytime when i needed one.......thanks

Noisy but cheap and centrally located
Good value for money. Very noisy around till midnight at least. many shops around.cheaper internet is just five meters outside the pension. Search for theatre building at the corner. nearest underground station is UNIVERSITAT.staff was very helfpul. room spacious with bath, not shower
